Sneering, Alfred replied, “Please come to the office.”

“No thanks, but let’s have dinner together tonight,” Jenny suggested. “And invite your father.’

Alfred frowned, wondering if he had misheard. “You want me to invite my father? Are you sure?”

“Yes, I have something to discuss with him.” Jenny knew that her request was sudden and unexpected. However, she didn’t have Mortimer’s contact information, so that was her only means to meet him.
