Chapter 25
Chapter 25
Katherine Peters couldn’t help but smile as She watched Michelle interact with her kids. They got here almost an hour ago and after feeding them their favorite food, She gave them some painting work to do to keep them busy. Of course, there was a reward for the winner which was why the triplets took their tasks so seriously.
“I don’t know but have you considered ever making me a godmother? You’re a natural at this.” Kathie said to her best friend the moment she approached her with two glasses of wine.
“There you go again, ma’am.” She groaned, handing Kathie a glass of red wine. Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
“Don’t blame me. I just feel you and your Boss will make cute babies.” She whispered the ‘boss’ part, grinning.
“You’re a psycho.”
“No, I’m not!” Katherine defended. “Am I not old enough to want to be a godmother?”
“Then you would have to wait forever.”
“You’re cruel.” She said to her best friend, taking a sip of her drink
“No, I’m not. I’m not just ready.”
“Beatrice must be so furious that you left her.”
“She will be fine. Actually, everything is in place already. She’s just annoyingly a perfectionist.”
“So their father is literally a couple of minutes away from us?”
“Don’t let Sophie hear you. She’s been bugging me lately about the topic. As if she knew something was going to happen soon.”
“Bonds are real or you don’t believe that they are?”
“Give me a break, Michie.”
“If they are real then that dickhead will stop behaving like a single man.”
“Single man?” Michie teased with a sly smile.
“Stop messing with my head, Babe. What I mean is, if the bond stuff is real, then he won’t be behaving irresponsibly.”
“You’ve said he’s an emotionless person so reality probably has to hit him before he comes back to his senses.”
“To hell with him,” Kathie mumbled, drinking from her glass.
“Aren’t you nervous? You look too calm for someone who has her baby dada around?”
“I only freaked out knowing he was going to be around today and my kids were in that house but now that they are with you, I’ve got zero worries.”
“I can imagine how handsome he is, seeing how gorgeous Sammy, Sebby and Sophie are.”
“That hurts, Sis. So what are you insinuating? That their mama is not sexy.”
Michelle laughed.
“Don’t get me wrong. My best friend is fine as fuck but there’s just that gene mixed in your babies’ gorgeousness. The undeniable addition.”
“You’re mean and you’re just a hater.” Kathie jokes.
“Why do I have a feeling you are attracted to him?”
“That will be so gross. He’s fucked and flirted with so many people under my nose. He’s even hitting on my birth mother.”
“I thought it was Beatrice who had always been hitting on him?”
Katherine shrugged. Same thing.
“You know that doesn’t have anything to do with attraction, right?”
Kathie stared at her best friend as if she had no idea what she was saying.
“You know we can’t help with who we are attracted to? Irrespective of their character.”
“You might be right but I’m sure my feelings know better to avoid undeserving folks.”
“But you’re still gonna talk to him?”
“That’s if he speaks to me first.”
“Bad bitch kind of vibes, hun?” Michelle teased
“If he wants my attention, he has to earn it.”
“You both seem to have a dangerous love story. I could see you squirming under his stare and touch.”
“Ewwwww bitch, don’t start with those fantasies of yours.”
“I’m just a sucker for love and all that shit so I can tell when I see a potential love story,” Michelle said, before sipping more of her drink.
“Hello!!!” She waved her left finger at her best friend, showing off her ring.
Michelle chuckled, “Trust me, that’s the least of the problems.”
“You really need to calm down on those movies you watch.”
“They are real-life stories, babe.”
“Ollie is my past and he will forever remain in the past.”
“What if I go behind your back and tell him everything?”
“You wouldn’t dare!”
“You think so?” Michie said with a sly smile.
“Then I will have to kill you first,” Kathie said, earning a smile from Michelle.
“Well, I can’t wait to hear everything that goes down at the wedding.”
“More like I can’t wait for it to be over so I can move on with my life.”
“In less than 24 hours baby. That’s if your guest would be leaving immediately.”
“I doubt he would want to stay longer than tomorrow. He has a company to run in Australia, as well as babes to go back to.”
“You’re right. Hopefully, Beatrice doesn’t convince him otherwise. She's going to leave for honeymoon right?”
“She has pissed me off enough. She better not persuade him to stay any longer.”
“She said Andre has stuff to do at the office this week so they won’t be going for honeymoon immediately. They will leave on Friday.”
“After which you would have the house to yourself.”
“I honestly can’t wait.” She said dreamingly. “And I will make sure you move in with us.”
Michie arched her brows at her bestie. “Are you sure about that?”
“Yeah! If not for me, I’m sure you would do anything to have your god babies by your side.”
“I wouldn’t mind as long as I don’t get disturbed by moans and groans from you and your lover.
Katherine rolled her eyes at her best friend. “I might as well kidnap you.”
“No problem, babe.”
“Will you be sleeping over?”
“I really want to. I would do anything not to be under the same roof with Beatrice and Oliver tonight.”
“Girllll, tell me you’re joking. Are you really sure something would happen between them tonight?”
“I don’t know. I just have a feeling that something will happen.”
Katherine was about to say something else when Sophie interrupted their conversation.
“See what I did, Aunt Michie.” She said with smiles all over her face, showing her the paper she drew on.
Michelle kept her now empty glass cup on a nearby table after which she collected the paper to see what the little girl did.
“Wow!” Michie smiled at the drawing and painting which was amazing for a seven-year-old. She drew a family tree.
“That’s Mommy.” Sophie pointed to the eldest-looking female figure on the paper.
“That’s me, wearing the beautiful shoes you bought me,”
“That’s Sammy, That’s Sebby and that’s Daddy. Mommy promised she’s going to find him.” She smiled, really excited about it.
Michelle smiled too, taking a glance at Kathie who looked away, pretending not to be aware of what was happening.
