Turning Of The Tide (Natalie and Trevon)

Chapter 718

Chapter 718

At the Yamins' Villa.

Chris and the others had just stepped into the villa when Charlie and Angie followed them. The tutor had just left, and Chris's two sons were sitting in the living room eating the fruits prepared by Angie.

Every time the children finished tutoring, Angie would carefully prepare some food for the children to replenish their energy. Even if her heart ached to see her grandsons study so hard, she would not interfere with Leia's discipline of her grandsons. The entire family approved of Leia's education method.

They would only prepare some food and buy some stuff to encourage the children after they finished their supplementary classes. The priority was given to Leia, and Chris's opinion was secondary.

Just as Chris had said back then, even if someone had to be kicked out of the family, it would definitely not be Leia. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Now, Leia was the head of the Yamin Group. Charlie occasionally went to the company, and Leia had the final say in the children's education. The family respected Leia's thoughts. After all, there was no problem with Leia's education method.

Whether it was Angie, Charlie, or Stella, they all agreed. Stella had already taken over Charlie's job and was able to take charge.

"How is it? Is Sophia doing well?" Angie asked worriedly.

Stella's eyes were still red and swollen. Leia also looked like she had cried. Chris told Charlie and Angie what had happened. When Charlie and Angie heard that, they sighed and felt upset.

"Charlie, if you don't have anything to do tomorrow, let's go and see Sophia in the morning after Jayden and Fynn go to school. It's really heartbreaking. Rachel and Caleb must have felt terrible, and so do Trevon and Natalie."

Fynn was still wearing the clothes he wore to school. He looked a little like Leia. He stood up. "Mom, can we go and see Sophia on Friday?"

Fynn and Jayden had to revise their schoolwork on weekdays. It was already late when they came back. If there were supplementary classes, it would be even later.

Jayden's personality was a little like Chris's. He did not talk much and was much less talkative than Fynn. He echoed, "Let's go together."

Leia thought for a moment. The children should indeed go and see Sophia. However, she needed to go on a business trip on Friday. "Chris, are you free on Friday?"

Without waiting for Chris to answer, Stella offered to take the children. She knew that both Chris and Leia were busy. Chris was busy with surgery, while Leia had a business trip. "Leia, I'll take them there. I don't have to go on this business trip anyway."

Since Stella took over Charlie's job, she had gone on fewer business trips. Basically, Leia was the one going on business trips.

"Alright, then you guys will go with Stella and listen to her arrangements. I'm going on a business trip on Friday. You can arrange your own homework. I'll check it when I come back."

Jayden and Fynn nodded. They were very disciplined and did not have any objections. They did not refute that there was too much homework.

When Rose and Edward returned home, Juana and Richard also asked about Sophia. They decided to see Sophia the following morning. They didn't know Hackett and Sherri also planned to

go to the Wilson's residence the following morning.

Before going to bed, Rose sent Sherri a message, saying, [Sherri, Edward and I have decided to let Harper come home tomorrow. We plan to let him go to the Wilson's residence every day to chat with Sophia. Didn't Chris say talking more to Sophia would encourage her to wake up?]

Sherri also thought the same thing. She texted, [I just left Natalie's house. I just went to see Sophia with Ava and the others. We had the same plan. I had already called Liam and asked him to come home tomorrow. Natalie had also called Olivia.]

As soon as Sherri said this, the door of the Blackwells' Villa opened. The travel-worn Liam returned in the dark. Sherri had just reached the stairs when she turned to look at Liam standing at the door. Sherri asked in confusion, "Didn't I ask you to come back tomorrow? Did you hear wrongly?"

Sherri tried hard to recall the words she used on the phone. She should have notified him correctly. She did not tell Liam to come back today.

Liam was carrying a small suitcase. "Mom, didn't you say it was urgent? What happened? Did Ruby break up with Jasper?"

"Pfft, can you stop saying such inauspicious things? Ruby and Jasper are very close. Ruby has been staying at the Wilson's residence for the past few days. Why would they break up?"

Hackett, who had just entered the room, came out. When he saw Liam, who had suddenly returned, he was puzzled. "Did you come back by cab?"

Liam bent over and lowered his head to change his shoes. He was a miserable, unloved son. He had to come home by cab. "Of course. I don't own a car."

Hackett said, "Don't you know your standards? Yet, you still dream of owning a car. I think walking quite suits you."

Liam was not convinced. "All new drivers are bound to get their cars bumped. The more one bumps one's car, the more experienced one becomes."

Hackett couldn't help but remind him, "Our family sells real estate, not bumper cars."

Liam was speechless.

More than half an hour ago, Sherri called Liam after she left the Wilson's residence. Her voice was choked with sobs. She only told Liam to come home and not stay on campus. Liam asked what was wrong, but Sherri kept crying. She cried until he panicked and called a cab to come back.

Seeing Liam's dumbfounded expression, Sherri and Hackett came downstairs. They pulled Liam to sit on the sofa and told him what had happened in the past two days.

Liam's face turned pale when he heard that. He no longer fooled or joked around. His mouth opened for a long time, but he did not say a word.

As Sherri spoke, she started crying again. She raised her hand to wipe the corners of her eyes with the back of her hand and instructed, "In the future, don't go out and wander around if you have nothing to do. Olivia has also been called back by Natalie. If you have nothing to do, go to the Wilson's residence often to chat with Sophia. I don't mind that you provoke Sophia into waking up and beating you up."

'As long as Sophia can wake up, it's no big deal for Liam to be beaten up,' Sherri thought.

The accident came too suddenly. Even with his personality, Liam could not accept it for a moment. His mouth opened for a long time, but he was lost for words.

A moment later, he picked up his phone and looked at the time. It was already past nine o'clock. Hackett seemed to have guessed Liam's thoughts and said, "Forget about going today. Go tomorrow. Olivia will be back tomorrow, too."

"Okay," Liam replied with mixed feelings. He was distracted and no one knew what he was thinking.

At three o'clock in the morning, a roar sounded in the courtyard of the Wilson's residence. After a while, the roar stopped, sounding especially ear-piercing in the quiet night.

Olivia turned off the engine. With one leg straddled on the motorcycle and one foot on the ground, she jumped off the motorcycle in her black Doc Martens boots. She neatly took off her helmet and held it in her hand. She fiddled with the black backpack on her body.

There was only a dim light in the villa. The curtains were tightly drawn, making it impossible to see what was happening inside. Olivia tucked her helmet under her arm and searched for the key in her pocket.

After searching for a long time, she still could not find the key to the villa. Thinking that she must have forgotten to bring it, she could only take an unusual path. She bent down and was about to pick the lock when the door opened with a click.

The person who opened the door was Trevon in black pajamas. When he heard the roar, he guessed that it was Olivia. "Didn't your mom ask you to come back tomorrow? Why are you back so late?"

Trevon turned sideways to let Olivia in. He looked outside and saw the bodyguard in the dark nod at him. He closed the door.

Olivia thought about it and felt that Natalie's words were a little strange. Ever since she went to university, Natalie had never asked her to stay at home. Be it her, Sophia, or Jasper, Trevon and Natalie had always respected their wishes. Trevon and Natalie never forced their wishes on them nor forced them to do anything.

She tossed and turned on the bed in the dormitory for a long time. In the end, she decided to go home and take a look. "I missed you guys, so I came back. Daddy, why aren't you asleep yet?"

Olivia looked up and saw Trevon's tired eyes and the dark circles under his eyes. "Dad, do you have insomnia?"

When Trevon saw the smile on Olivia's face, he wished Sophia could also smile at him like that. It would be fine even if Sophia cried. Trevon's eyes were dark, helpless, and bleak. "Olivia, I want to tell you something."

Seeing Trevon's serious expression, Olivia felt inexplicably flustered. "Dad, did something happen at home? Is it... Sophia?"

The only person in the family who could have an accident was Sophia. Olivia's first guess was Sophia. God knew how fast Olivia's heart was beating when she said that.

Since Sophia went on a mission, Olivia had prayed every day for Sopha's safe return. As long as there was no bad news, it was good news. When they fought with the mercenaries back then, Jasper had said that Sophia would encounter these outlaws who didn't care about their lives after choosing that career path.

Jasper did not say Trevon had arranged for Sophia's protection. However, something still happened to Sophia. This was also why Trevon blamed himself.

After a few seconds of silence, Trevon took the helmet that Olivia had forgotten to put on the shelf lovingly and said faintly, "Sophia is upstairs. Go and see her and talk to her."

Olivia narrowed her eyes and looked at Trevon. She did not see the joy of Sophia's return on Trevon's face. There was only suppressed tension and sadness. Trevon looked very tired.

Without thinking, she ran past Trevon and up the stairs. She took two steps at a time, her hand gripping the handrail.

Downstairs, Trevon held the helmet he had taken from Olivia and fell silent. He did not plan to follow her immediately. For some reason, he did not want to see Olivia cry.

When Olivia arrived at Sophia's door, she was a little timid. She did not dare to open Sophia's door immediately. She held the door handle and paused for a while. After mentally preparing herself, she closed her eyes and opened the door.

What she saw almost made her fall to the ground. Her vision was getting blurry, blurring the scene in the room. She couldn't see the person lying on the bed. The first thing she saw when she stood at the door was not Sophia, but the cold equipment.

She studied medicine and had a bad premonition when she saw those things. A healthy person wouldn't need so many devices on her.

Olivia's legs felt like they were filled with lead as she struggled to move to the side of the bed. Olivia, who was immersed in her sadness, had no idea that Jasper was following behind her. Meanwhile, Jasper, who was following behind, did not stop Olivia.

Olivia had to cry. There was nothing wrong with crying. He hoped that Olivia would release her emotions. He leaned against the door frame with a dark expression. He felt a little like smoking and was very frustrated.

When Natalie heard the commotion, she pushed open the door and came out. When she came to Sophia's room, she saw Jasper leaning against the door frame with a gloomy expression and without saying a word. The living room downstairs was lit up. Clearly, someone was downstairs.

Natalie saw Olivia walk to Sophia's side with difficulty, touching the cold equipment with trembling hands. Olivia knelt by the bed and reached out to touch Sophia's face. Her voice was very soft and choked with emotion. "Sophia, what happened to you?"

Her voice sounded more heartbroken as she said, "Sophia, you've lied. You said you wouldn't get hurt if you became a Special Forces soldier. You've lied."
