” I was about to call your phone.”
He called lightly to her, as he found her just at the balcony. He quickly guessed she had been in the kitchen.
” Call my phone, why?” Piper asked, she held a glass of juice in one hand and the other hand was behind her back. She was hiding something, Aaron didn’t bother to check. It must be one of those foods Antonio warned her about eating. Sugary foods pricisely.
” Antonio wants us to do something for him immediately.” He answered.
” Hope there’s no problem?” She asked and she revealed what she was hiding, it was a muffin. Again, Aaron acted like he didn’t noticed.
” No there isn’t. I will feed you on what you need to know in the car.” He held her wrist, almost spilling the drink she was holding.
” You have to tell me what I’m going to do. I don’t trust anyone.” She protest, struggling to free herself and he let her go.
He laughed at her childishness,
” Anyone?” He faked ignorance.
” Yes…I don’t trust anyone except you.” She answered and drained the remaining juice in her glass.
” Trust me, I will never do anything to you.” He assured.
” Give me 5 minutes, I will quickly change and have a shower.” She requested.
“No…you can’t do that.”
” Why?”
“That will take eternity and we don’t have time for that.” He answered honestly and he was right. A bath for five minutes? That was an impossible task for Piper.
” You’re such a pain. A big pain.” She yelled painfully at him.
They walked to the car, and Piper politely asked to ride in the Lamborghini.
” Can I drive?” She asked plainly.
” You know it’s a No.” He answered, without looking at her. He opened the door for her and she entered grudgingly.
” I hate you and Antiono.” She mutterd.
” We love you baby.”
She looked at him with her playful big eyeballs which sometimes made her look like a doll.
” I love Antiono so much, he cares but would never want to accept.” She said as soon as he was seated in the driver’s seat.
“Of course. You’re his only sister.”
” You know Mia was kidnapped some days ago?” She questioned as she buckled her seat belt likewise Aaron.
” Yes…I want to know how you knew about Mia and Antiono’s relationship.” He started the engine.
“Simple…I was I’m the same hotel. The weekend right? I went for a drink.” She smiled as she talked.
” Why didn’t we see you?”
“Because I didn’t let you.”
“Was it necessary to hide?”
” You’re asking me that?”
He didn’t have to think much, he quickly remembered what had transpired between the duo. During that period Piper was banned from leaving the house because of the man she claimed to be in love with. Antiono had suspected he was a fraud but Piper was too stubborn to listen. She felt she was neglected and her decisions were never heeded. It became so tense that Piper was sent away to another city.
” How did you manage to pass the bouncers that were assigned to you?” He asked taking a second to look away from his driving.
” I still don’t know, I guess I was too smart for them.” She grined in delight.
“You should have left immediately,”
” Then I wasn’t going to find out the secret you and Antiono were hiding.”

“How are you mother?” He opened the door in ajar as he asked. She looked angrily at him and pretended to be trying out her jewelries.
He asked again and she replied,
“You can tell I’m not okay, I just got insulted by my only son.”
” Can I talk to you for a while mother?”
“Not now, I have urgent work to do.” She ridiculed.
” Don’t be like this mother. It’s very important and you know I’m really sorry.”
” What is this all about? I have to rest Antiono.”
” Mother, don’t get like this. I have to tell you something about Charlotte.” He walked towards her and stood in front of her, just a few meters saperating them.
She raised her eyebrow in curiosity.
” I don’t want to get Married to her?”
” Why?”
” It’s not the right time, I don’t love her.”
” It’s not the right time, I don’t her her ” she tried to mimic, Do you love anyone, Antonio? No! Tell me because I know you don’t feel anything there.” She pointed to his chest region.
” Don’t get ridiculous, You can’t understand due to personal reasons and that’s why I can’t give you a reason to call off the wedding.”
” Due to some personal reasons that I can’t give you, the wedding is going to hold as schedule.”
” Mother, don’t he so hard now ”
His phone rang
” It’s Dad calling, ” he mutterd and answered immediately.
” Hello father,”
” How is your mum?”
” She’s here, don’t think she would want to talk to you now.”
” I will call her something, take care of yourself and keep the business in check.”
“I will do that father, please do take care of yourself. Mum will return by daybreak.”
He ended the call before it went dead.
” What’s the meaning of that? Who is returning? I just got here.” She protested.
” It will get better you stay with your husband while I focus on important things.”
