Unexpectedly Married to a Billionaire (Lorraine and Logan)

Chapter 26

Chapter 26

Logan’s gaze darkened. He knew he hadn’t misread Lorraine. She had the right mindset about these things and was worth his rash decision.

He said, “Now that you’ve scored the deal with Ernest Incorporated, you should get some rest. You woke up way too early this morning. Shall we pick the kids up together in the evening?”

“Sure.” Lorraine was busiest in the morning. She’d be free in the

evening.

She put her notebook away and said, “You saw how ripe the mangoes there were, right? I was worried about them spoiling because I couldn’t sell them, but I don’t have anything to worry about anymore. Sonia’s done me a huge favor with this.”

Logan agreed with her, complimenting Sonia for being a good friend without batting an eye. He knew Jacob had only come because of him. He also knew Jacob had only agreed to purchase all those fruits

for the fruit baskets because of him.

Logan had done a good deed and helped Lorraine resolve her

problems with the sale of ripe fruits, but he didn’t try to take credit for

1. it.

Lorraine’s cottage only had one bedroom. And so, she and Logan- shared it for their afternoon nap. The night before, she had asked Logan to make do on the couch, but she didn’t do so now. After all,

he had already climbed into her bed last night. There was no point talking about sleeping separately now.

She turned on the fan and said, “There isn’t any A/C here, so you can head home to rest if you can’t stand it. Still, it’s quite cooling here even during noon because there are so many trees.”

“It’s fine. There aren’t fans at the construction site anyway.” Logan

deliberately mentioned his experience at the construction site so that he could convince Lorraine that he was fine with sleeping in the cottage. It was all so he could share a bed with her.

Sure enough, Lorraine didn’t say anything else. They got into bed together.

“Logan.”

“Yeah?”

“We must have compatible horoscopes.”

He turned to look at her with a smile. “Why did you suddenly think of

that?“–

She said, “Up until just now, I was worried about selling off the ripe fruits. But after marrying you, the problem’s been resolved, even if Sonia was the one to pull the strings.

“I’ve never gotten such a huge business deal in the past before, so this is good news. I feel like our marriage has brought me a bout of good luck.”

Logan chuckled. “Are you trying to say that I’ve brought fortune to you?”

She laughed as well. “Well, I’ll have to see how things play out in the future to answer that.”

“What’s your biggest dream?” Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

“To become the wealthiest woman in Glendale City. I want to strut around the city without anyone daring to stand in my way!” She laughed again and continued, “Nah, that’s just me daydreaming. Still, J’ll work hard to make more money and become more powerful.”

Logan caressed her head. “That’s a great dream! I’m sure your hard work and effort will one day turn you into Glendale’s richest woman.”

He had a net worth of billions of dollars, and she was his wife. Even if he were to give her just half of everything he owned, it would be enough to make her Glendale’s wealthiest woman.

“I wonder what’s the net worth of the richest man in Glendale. I heard Moore Corporation’s CEO is the eldest son of his generation. He’s so mysterious that we ordinary people don’t even know his name. Everyone just calls him Mr. Moore,” Lorraine said.

She continued, “Ernest Incorporated, where Sonia works, is just a subsidiary of Moore Corporation, but it has over 2,000 employees. Logan, your last name is Moore too.

Lorraine took her glasses off and placed them on the bedside table before turning back to Logan. She teased, “Do you have anything to do with the Moore family? You and Mr. Jacob share the same last name. Anyone who isn’t in the know would think you two are brothers or relatives.”

They were both handsome too. Jacob was just a bit more serious than Logan while Logan was much gentler and more easygoing. Jacob, in his suit, looked like a successful businessman. Meanwhile, Logan dressed plainly and had dirt stains on his clothes. He and Jacob couldn’t be from the same world. E

Laughing, Logan said, “Maybe we had the same ancestors hundreds of years ago.”
