Unforgiven Sins

BenChua’s POV

A few days passed and I just chose to do the important things. “Hey, did you finish my work for you? Did you know the truth?” I couldn’t stop myself from asking one question after another. I am here in the office while Dr. Shawn Felizus. But he took a nap and gave me a brown envelope. I was almost silent at what he did. I couldn’t take it from him because of the speed of my heart. “Hey, Mr. Ben Chua are you okay? You can read everything in that envelope. I don’t know if you will be happy after you know it.”

I try to show nothing and calm down, even honestly, I can’t believe it. Until I decided to speak with him, “Thank you for this. I am ready for the result.” I replied with a smile and took the envelope even though inside I was sweating from the cold.

“I don’t know if it’s okay to say this, my first test I don’t know why they matched. But when I double check anything, I found out that he is also TYPE O, the same as your daddy,” he said in a long sentence that stopped my world.

What did he say? TYPE O? Who?!

“Anyway, I need to go Mr. BenChua if you need more tests or to investigate more. Tell me, but for now, I need to fix myself since I have a client because I will go to my office.”

He is my trusted doctor since I was a child. Honestly, he is the only doctor known in Felizus Hospital and the childhood friend of my father.

“Thank you, Mr. Feliz. I will contact you if ever I need something more regarding this.” I only gave a forced smile and led him out of my office.

A few moments passed and he left while I was just looking at the envelope on my desk. I walked slowly and sat down at my table.

I looked at the envelope and a lot came to my mind. what if we are brothers? What if it’s true? What would I do if he was my brother outside?

I sighed and took the envelope. After I took out some papers that were inside it, my hands almost stiffened and my eyes seemed to hurt from what I read.

“What the hell is this?! Is this true? No way! I can’t believe this.” I sound like a crazy person talking to myself, but it is still too vague for me that we are both positive and have the same blood type as Cinyla.

Maybe it’s just a coincidence or maybe something is wrong. I need a second opinion or test for this. Not allowed! You really can’t.

I just put the envelope together with the paper inside of my cabinet, I have had to hide it for a while since I am not sure what Dr. Felizus discovered and I need to investigate more. I also do not agree with what I found out today. It’s very vague, maybe Dr. made a mistake.

I just leaned back in the chair and tried to get rid of the things that were bothering me. I can’t be like this now, especially since I have a meeting to go to later.

A few minutes passed and I thought about leaving my office first. But as I stood up I received a message. He gave a message to my chest.

I almost dropped my cell phone from the nervousness I feel right now. This is so weird! Only one person can know and call me. Beny no one else. He is the only one, the only man in my life-my father. But. . .

Someone knocks on my door that makes me go back to reality. “S-sir BenChua?” a soft voice called my name.

Why is she here?

I quickly put my cell phone in my pocket, took a deep breath, and adjusted my polo shirt. I feel that my environment has warmed up because of what is happening to me.

But I got up and went straight to the door because Cinyla was outside.

“Hi sir, this is the report for the overall schedule for this year.” My jaw almost dropped from what I saw. Cinyla is hot now because she wears a fitted black skirt with a red blouse that she was tucked in.

My heart!

“S-sir?”

“Y-yes! Thank you so much. ” I couldn’t help but thank him as he spread his sweet smile in front of me.

“No worries, sir. Just let me know if you need something or more,” she said with a seductive voice. I almost swallowed what he said. I don’t know if she’s flirting or if her voice is natural.

“Yeah! I got it. Just put the folder you’re holding here on my desk.” I arranged my things while seriously focusing on what I was doing just so he wouldn’t notice that I was worried or thinking.

He quickly followed and I noticed his smile as if he had a different day today. She is so energetic and positive today.

“Here sir! Just read and understand, if you need me just call my phone. Have a great day, sir!”

“Thanks!” I gave him a short answer and a few seconds passed and he left my office. I took a deep breath when he finally left. I also took the white and red folder he was carrying. I looked at that and it’s just my schedule for this month until next month. The days are so fully loaded as if I have to make the most of my few rest days.

“This is too much! I need to have a break,” I said to myself as I slowly drank the small cup filled with chocolate coffee. I hadn’t noticed it before until I noticed a small piece of paper attached to the front.

I felt a strange tickling in my stomach like butterflies are flying inside of me. I felt better and smiled a little. I drank it like I was out of my mind. Until I noticed a small sticky note inside the folder he was carrying.

I read that which gave me a strange feeling.

I hope you like it. I made your chocolate coffee. I know you will be stressed for this whole week. Fighting, sir!

I don’t know why Cinyla is doing this immediately, I think something is wrong with her. But, I like what she has done for today. I wish he was always like this though. . . there are many buts. I don’t even know if it’s right or if I should stay away when I find out the truth.

Until I noticed that I almost finished drinking the chocolate coffee. His blend is delicious. I seem to have a favorite drink now- her creation, chocolate coffee.

After a couple of minutes, I see myself in the mirror of my desk and I am smiling. But it was a little while then suddenly disappeared. I was saddened by the memories and thoughts I had. I liked Cinyla but after this result, I don’t know what I should feel. Is all that true? Maybe Dr. just made a mistake. Feliz. Weirdly, we have the same blood type. I don’t understand.

Until my phone vibrates inside my pocket pants. I got it and received a message from him-Dr. Feliz. Is this good news or not?

My heart beat faster after I read his message. One after another, strange questions formed in my mind. But, I better close my eyes and calm down. I need to know the truth and make sure that all the resulting results are correct.

I put my cell phone aside and didn’t hesitate to reply because it was still open. I need to relax my mind and think about the best plan. I stood up to fix myself. I needed to take my lunch then suddenly Cinyla came up in front of me.

“Hi, sir! Can I join you during your lunch break?” Her eyes blink which makes me quiet.

D*mn! Her brown eyes!

“Y-yeah sure! Are you been there a while ago, waiting for me?” I replied while trying to calm myself down.

“Not at all, sir. I’m almost there in just a minute, are you all right?”

“Of course! W-why?” I said quickly and tried to compose my voice.

“No sir, let’s go eat.” He pulled my hand causing me to feel strange electricity from him. She acts so differently right now. He is very sweet and thoughtful.

I let him pull me until we reached the elevator. He pressed it and it opened for us to enter. He put it on the 2nd floor where we went down there were many choices of restaurants.

“Let’s eat at Shai-ai Restaurant, sir, or do you want to go somewhere else?” This question is a reason for me to think properly.

“Anywhere or just there. No worries. I’m hungry too,” I excused myself because I didn’t want him to think about anything else.

He just smiled and the elevator opened just in time. What is wrong with him why is he so chill and weird now?

“Let’s go, sir!” He pulled my right hand again as if I was his child that could be taken anywhere.

“W-wait!” I will stop him. He stopped and looked at me seriously.

“W-why?” she asked.

“Nothing.” I held his hand as if he and I were one. I want to be sweet with her even just today. Because I know the day will come when everything will change too. I want to keep these memories with him.

She smiles at me which makes me smile too. He tightened his hold on my hand and directly entered the Shai-ai Restaurant.

I hope it’s like this, I hope Cinyla and I will be like this until the end. I wish. . .

While we were looking for a good spot, I noticed that he was carrying a small attache case.

“What is that for?” I asked after we finally found a place for us.

“This?” He pointed to the red attache case he was carrying in addition to the small bag he had.

“Yes!” I said monotonously.

“This is just a reminder kit. Sir, I have finished many reports so at least they can be reduced. Anyway, I need to go to the comfort room. Go ahead and order.” He said goodbye and stood up directly and looked for the comfort area.

I nodded but before I called the waiter, I couldn’t lose sight of the attache case that Cinyla was carrying.

I get it and check it for a while while he is gone.

What is this?

I don’t know what reaction I should give to what I saw. She has a paper on DNA results that I have. I don’t understand why she has this copy, too.

I quickly put it back in her bag because she might think that I am doing something I don’t want her to think suspiciously. I called the waiter to have an order for us before she came back here.

But to be honest, many things came to my mind when I saw that we were holding the same copy. This is what Dr. Felizus will tell me.

“I’m back, sir!” Cinyla said and sit beside me.
