Chapter 31 Muhammad and Coco
Chapter 31 Muhammad and Coco
Muhammad seemed to have hesitated for a while, but later he agreed that they would hang out the
next day. Coco felt that the man was acting very unnaturally as if there was something that was
constraining his words and actions.
However, Coco didn't care because she thought he was just being shy. So she insisted to invite him to
go shopping. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Muhammad wasn't a natural gentleman because he wouldn't take the initiative to help the lady carry
things, but he was willing to take over everything Coco gave to him.
Coco had so much fun and Muhammad didn't want to spoil it. By the time she checked her watch, it
was already 7 o'clock.
"We're going to restaurant, do you recommend?"
Muhammad seemed a little embarrassed. He was thinking. He could say "it's your call", but that was
not a good way because they were so "different".
He knew Coco still want to go shopping, so he said, "Follow me, is it OK?"
Coco was actually thinking about buy more things later, so she followed him.
They chatted along the way and Coco was surprised when they arrived at the restaurant.
The decoration of the restaurant was very special. She had seemed enough special things here in L
City, but this one totally impressed him.
Everywhere her eyes could touch, she saw Arabic symbols. There was this special aroma in the air that
Coco found exotic. She almost ignored it because of those fulfilling products she purchased today.
Coco's English wasn't fluent enough, and Magnus had been ordering for her since she was in L City.
Now Muhammad took Magnus's position.
He asked her if she had any taboos. Coco shook her head and chatted with someone on WeChat. She
felt so much better when speaking Chinese. When she spoke English, she had to translate the content
and check if it was grammarly correct, which could be exhausting.
Muhammad felt the girl a bit rude to leave him alone.
Coco ignored him because she was still in the joy of shopping. She didn't like the food quite much, but
she ate more of it. She didn't realize she was behaving differently from her usual image. And she also
ignored Muhammad's hesitation and cessation.
Coco had a happy day. After two days off, he called Muhammad again. They hang out from time to
time until the semester started. She gradually found that Muhammad was always staring at her with a
wired look. Sometimes he seemed to be hesitating, but...
When the semester began, Coco and Muhammad went to the classroom together. She wanted to meet
some new people there, especially classmates who spoke her language. That way she wouldn't have
to speak English, which had almost worn her out.
When they arrived, she found several of them. She added their WeChat and decided to have a party
with them this weekend.
Coco looked at Muhammad and felt that he seemed a little lonely. Given the help he had offered her,
she decided to invite him to the party.
