Chapter 18

Jewel and Cain quickly finished their meal because none of them spoke.

They are now on the sofa and sitting side by side, Cain continues to watch tv while Jewel is holding her

phone as if it were flashing.

"Did you tell Calliyah everything?" Cain asked suddenly

"Yes, she knows I'm here in Canada and I'm with you, she really wanted to come here but she couldn't

because Dark is always with her."

"Dark has no plans of letting your friend go." He laughing

"Because your friend is stupid. He will hurt my best friend and then chase her." I said

"But look at them now, they got back together."

She just shrugged his shoulders and continued what he was doing, later he also watched tv.

As they focused on watching tv, Cain's phone suddenly rang, he immediately got it and looked at who

Jewel saw the young man look at her and she raised her eyebrow at him.

"Dark, why did you call?" Cain suddenly spoke

Jewel immediately turned her gaze to him when she heard the caller's name.

"I'm not there right now, I'm on a business trip." he even heard the young man say that which made him

even more curious.

Dark POV

I didn't see Cain for a couple of months. I wondered where he was so I tried to call him .

"Have you talked to Thunder? I can't find him. Do you know where he is?" I asked him

"We haven't talked to him, I haven't been home yet. Why are you asking me that? You're the one in the

Philippines." Cain replied

"Ayts! I don't have any news about the two of you! You're both missing in action." I said

"Wait, what? What do you mean missing in action? Where's Thunder?" Cain asked in a fit of confusion.

"I don't know! I don't even know where he is, he's not in the company. Tito is in charge there right now."

I said in an irritation voice

"Do you know where he is?" He asked again

"Would I ask you if I know? Jerk! Probably not! Tito said he was on a vacation, but didn't say where." I

exclaimed

"Maybe he's just stressed at work, let him rest. He'll come back soon"

"So, that's the only reason why I called you. Come back soon here! I don't have anyone to drink with." I

said

He just laughed before turning off the call.

It's annoying that my friends suddenly disappear without saying goodbye.

On the other hand, just as Cain dropped his phone, Jewel just stared at him.

"What's with that look?" He asked

"Why did Dark call you? What did he say?"

"Why are you curious about it Jew? Hahahaha." He laughed

Jewel got the pillow and immediately threw it at him.

"Hey! Stop it!" the young man shouted

"You're really going to get hurt if you answer my question asshole! What is it?" She said

"He's asking if Thunder and I have talked or if I know where it is." Cain answered

"What do you mean?" She asked confused

"He has not been able to see or talk to Thunder these past months, he said he is not with the company

because Tito is in charge there now." The young man explained

"Eh, where is he?"

"Are you that concerned about him? Hahahaha" Cain jokingly asked

The girl slapped him on the shoulder. "You never really failed to pissed me off! I'm just asking."

"No one knows, Tito said he was on vacation but Dark doesn't know where." He said

Suddenly, the girl felt a twinge in her chest.

"W-what if he's here? What if he sees me?" She sudden question Cain

The young man moved next to him. "Don't think too much Jew, he can't find you, okay? Because if he's

looking for you he should already know where you are. Knowing him? You know he can do it." Cain

assured her

She just nodded.

A few days later, the young woman Jewel was always stunned by the loss because she had a problem

with her pregnancy, she still could not accept that she was carrying the child as a result of her

husband's sin.

She wants to get rid of this child. She just can't find the right day because she's with her friend and the

young man is not leaving so her stress increases even more because Cain might notice it soon.

As she sat on the bed she thought of a way so she quickly left the room to go to it.

She found her friend standing on the veranda so she approached it.

"Cain? Can you please buy me some medicine? I'm not feeling well right now."

The young man immediately looked at him. "What do you feel?" He questioned

"My head hurts, I've run out of the medicine that you bought last time." I said in a teary eyed

"Okay, I'll buy you some. Just wait for me here and I'll be right back." said the young man and left.

Jewel quickly entered her room to do what she was planning.

'I'm sorry Cain if I lied to you. This is the only way that I can do what I want to do. I can't let this child

live in my womb .'- she whispered

She quickly made her bed and placed the pillow in the middle at the same time as she covered it with a

blanket as if it were a woman covered in it and sleeping.

She went to the drawer near her bed and opened it. She was looking for something here and soon she

found a bottle of medicine. She picked it up and stared at it carefully before finally carrying it into the

comfort room.

When she got inside, she looked at her appearance in the mirror. Her eyes were full of sadness.

She turned her gaze back to the bottle she was holding containing the medicine. 'I'm sorry baby, forgive

mommy. But it would be better if we lose than to live without love and a complete family. Forgive me c

child'- she whispered as she opened the bottle and took the medicines.

She drank it quickly without hesitation as her tears flowed. 'Until we meet again baby.'- she said while

closing her eyes.
