Chapter 24 Danger lurks
“If I don’t make it tonight, give part of my money to the less privileged and part to my aunt in Nsukka. Her name is Uju Nna,” said Opula.Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
“Oh no you’ll make it. You ain’t dying now.”
He started thinking, Nku dies tonight.
He stripped her of her dress and sucked on her breasts.
We will make it, but if we don’t make it let it be known that we died for a good course.
It had been home coming and he felt like making love for the last time of his life. Quickly he unbelted and pulled his trousers.
If we survive this fight, we’ll be hundred million dollars richer.
He lifted her on his shoulders and she moaned.
That is a whole lot. They need to die for that money to come handy.
They were in the bathroom, and at once the shower splashed over them, Opula started off a deep throated moan.
Azuaka watch your back. It is no longer safe. I am coming for you.
She was pinned to the wall, as he pounded into her vagina, gracefully sucking on her breasts.
Whoever survives takes the software. Opula and I will survive.
He needed to brazen up before killing Nku. He needed to keep Opula in form. They needed it. They moaned instantly and stopped. Their body paused.
It is time. His thought stopped.
It was late when Ferguson and Nku got on the road to meet with Mr. Ziu in his hotel. Whatever that gave Opula that idea was genius, Ferguson thought as he whirled the steering. Nku sat in the passenger’s seat looking out to the lighted California. Ferguson was nervous, even the love he made to Opula few seconds to his departure didn’t fix him. In his head was Opula; her naked body; the twisting of her waist on him; the softness of her breasts; the moan she delivered on end. Bang! He was still nervous. He had never shot someone before. He was nervous yet proud of tonight. Nku’s name was already on his bullet. If only Nku had kept to their agreement. But it was late. It was late.
“All over the world everybody is envious of Americans. He really wants to gain a lot from us. I wonder the app he wants to build, one that will put the world in his dirty ass?” Nku started a discussion, hoping to convince Ferguson about his decision for the software.
Their car stopped for the traffic light.
He continued, “They say if you teach an American one he will produce eleven.”
Their car drove on and took a u-turn.
The Chinese need us to multiply their expertise but if only we will have a supportive society as theirs we would control the world economy independent of the Chinese.”
“I don’t believe you,” said Ferguson, “Is it not you people that come to Japan to steal their cars and ship it back home? Yet you claim to be car manufacturers.” He overtook a car and sped on. He didn’t want to show enmity in his voice yet.
“Show me how many people in America that drive home-made cars. They say two of its tires will run out of the body and catch fire. Our talents are best appreciated in the hands of the white man whom we work our blood for.”
“The same thing Mr. Ziu knows about you people and gives you the opportunity to excel yet you rejected his offer?”
“If only the fish would know the mindset of the fisherman it wouldn’t be eating any food in the ocean. He is a greedy man. We have discovered our power mine and don’t want to sell it anymore. If we sell that software to him he will be god in few years time and we would worship him. Didn’t you read it in his vision plan, owning the world in 2023. That is supremacy, son of man. We want to correct that insanity and keep our software. If we explore and render the world broke, he world have no world to own.”
Ferguson smiled in his mind. We’ll see to that, punk, he thought.
“Do you believe one man can own the world?” he asked.
He wasn’t convincing Ferguson in any way but he was driving home his message.
“Yes, one Chinese man can do that, Mr. Ziu.”
“And what do you call rendering the world broke?”
“Just stealing, nobody will answer to us.” He shook his head, “Say, seizing the world economy for a while and then releasing it later. That won’t make us gods.”
Azuaka really charmed you.
Bang! The bridge loomed on. With his elbow, he felt his pistol to put it in check. His heart beat increased.
Good bye, Nku, he thought.
“The only way we can keep down his supremacy is by keeping the software. That will be his threat.”
“He sees the genius behind the software and is ready to empty his purse for it but America will always be America, always wanting to dominate mankind.”
“We become hard working they say we want to dominate. Americans are Jews. Our success is our covenant with God.”
The car came to a halt. Bang!
The car screeched on the tarred bridge at an instant break as he pulled over. Nku looked at Ferguson, “What is it, son of man?” he asked. The pistol was pointing to his face.
“Out of the car, ruddy,” Ferguson growled, poking the pistol into his face. When Nku remained stubborn he barked, “Out mother fucker!”
A car zoomed and swept chilled air across Nku whose body was already drenching in sweat. He had his two hands raised, shifting away from Ferguson.
“We can sort out whatever it is, Ferg,” Nku pled, swallowing hard. “Remember how we met way back in New York. I brought you in the game. He thought about leaping on Ferguson like a cat, punching his eyes, and struggling with him over the pistol. Bang! It was too late.
He corked. “Shut the fuck up. Don’t shut your eyes while kissing the devil.”
Nku couldn’t find saliva to swallow any more. He paused.
Two bullets sped into his skull and he pumped to the ground.
Another car zoomed past them, screeched to a halt and reversed.
Bang!
Who could that be? Have I been leaked? He took cover behind the car. Whosoever you’re show up. I know we’ll die here,” he mumbled.
“Sweet, sweet, where are you? It’s me?” a voice said from the car.
“Oh Opula,” he growled and peeped. “The did is done.”
“Let’s dump him into the river.” She held out her pistol keeping watch.
“I never expected your back up so soon.” He was panting and very much nervous. His hands shook with every produced fear. He had to help himself by putting his pistol into his waist. He could lift his hands now. There were quite heavy earlier. He had taken the best shot in his life time. He thought he would miss the first shot or the second. He seemed uneasy at first and feared Nku challenging him to a fight. If that was the case, Opula would have arrived as she just did and put some bullets in his skull anyways.
The corpse splashed into the river when they threw it in. Ferguson spat into it and Opula hugged him.
“We got to leave this place now. I will drive.” Opula took over the steering.
“Straight to his hotel room for the software,” said Ferguson, breathing hard, still staring back and looking at his wrist watch. The pistol burnt his waist and he grinned. He couldn’t handle anything in his shaking hands.
“I got a surprise for you.” She brought out some papers.
He read it. “Tickets?”
“For two to Miami. I want us to have the first flight tomorrow morning. Delay is dangerous. Those guys are pieces of smart shits. They will start searching for Nku and then come for us. Our plan remains.”
