When They Beg, I Rise!

Chapter 330

"Hand over the account, let's buy tickets for the game this weekend!"

The senior looked puzzled, "With your own money?"

"Yep, let's use a hundred grand for now. I'll figure something out for more later!"

She had meant to talk to Thaddeus about sponsorship before, but never got the chance that day.

Now that she was a partner at Maple Group, maybe she had the clout?

After the meeting, Lemira felt the urgent need for recruitment.

"Let's set up a booth and recruit some new members tomorrow!"

She texted their lawyer. [Tomorrow is the final deadline.]

Lying back in her dorm, Lemira received a text from Orion.

[The gym you're going to has trainers who aren't up to snuff. You could hurt yourself. I'll find you a better place.]

Their last conversation had been days ago, right after he was discharged from the hospital and she mentioned hitting the gym. But now he was criticizing her trainer?

Lemira replied. [No need, this trainer's top-notch, used to be a pro.]

[Being a pro doesn't mean they can teach. How much do you think your little frame can handle?]

Lemira could almost see the smirk on his face as he said it.

She replied with a string of ellipses and turned off her phone to sleep.

Seeing Lemira's response, Orion tapped his screen thoughtfully. Stubborn, huh? Getting fiery.novelbin

The next day, Lemira woke up and immediately checked her phone, but Orion hadn't replied.

Yawning, she headed out to recruit for the club, but as soon as she arrived at their booth, a crowd gathered around.

People wanted her autograph, to take pictures with her.

Her senior chuckled, "Lemira, had I known you were this popular, I would've had you out here yesterday."

Just then, the crowd parted to reveal a group from the Business School, led not by Susanna, but by Dorian.

This guy was hardly ever at school, rumored to be a barfly.

Dorian, yawning and looking half asleep, called out, "Lemira, bullying Eve again last night?"

Evelina had cried to him over the phone, ruining his night out.

Lemira sat calmly, "What, looking for a fight?"

Dorian instinctively stepped back, "Don't get cocky. Susanna's word is out, no one's gonna join your team. Better resign as captain now and save us the trouble of recruiting."

"That was yesterday. Today's a new day."

"What's different about today? The sun rise from the west?"

Just as Dorian finished, Susanna walked over, clearly unwilling.

Dorian couldn't help but mock, "See,

Lpeak of the devil. Told you recruit a soul today!"

The crowd was stunned.

Dorian, incredulous, blurted out, "Susanna, you feeling okay?"

Just yesterday, Susanna was all threats.

And now, this sudden turnaround?

"Mind your own business!"

Susanna glared at Dorian, then faced Lemira with resentment burning in her eyes.

She just wanted to strangle that little witch!
