When They Beg, I Rise!

Chapter 358

Not long after, the dean came over with his medical kit in hand, noticing Orion was not alone but accompanied by a girl, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, "Is this your girlfriend who got hurt this time?" Lemira pursed her lips in response, "I'm not his girlfriend."

Orion glanced at her and then firmly took her hand, "She's injured."

After examining the wound on Lemira's hand, the dean chuckled, "That scratch? You'd heal up even if you came in later."

Lemira's cheeks flushed with embarrassment, "It's his arm that's injured, cut by a metal locker, needs a tetanus shot."

She shifted to show the dean Orion's arm wound.

The dean's demeanor changed upon seeing Orion's injury. After a thorough check, he administered the tetanus shot to Orion.

Then, looking at Lemira, he teased Orion, "Playing the hero and still getting hurt, kinda embarrassing, huh?"

Orion, known for his boldness, seemed much more restrained today, especially in front of a young lady.

Quite the rare sight.

Feeling slightly embarrassed after getting the shot, Orion took the antiseptic from the kit to clean Lemira's wound, which stung a bit.

Lemira winced, and Orion raised an eyebrow, "Does it hurt?"

She knew he was also teasing her on purpose.

The dean coughed, "Alright, you got the shot, now off you go. Don't loiter around here. I'm old, my blood sugar's high, can't stand all this sweet nonsense." Orion put down the antiseptic and took Lemira away from the hospital.

Lemira looked at him, "You know that doctor?"

"Yeah, I know him."

Suddenly, Lemira asked, "Orion, are you rich?"

Orion paused, his gaze fixed on her, trying to discern her thoughts but to no avail.

He asked tentatively, "Why do you ask?"

"This is a private hospital, owned by the Everhart family, a prominent name. Only people of certain status come here. And you know the dean so well." Lemira found it a bit strange.

Orion coughed, "I used to be a doctor, isn't it normal to know people from the same field?"

Then it dawned on Lemira that he used to be a doctor, though just a school doctor.

"Why did you become a school doctor at a high school then?"

She remembered that the sarcastic school doctor didn't stay long before leaving.

Orion glanced at the sky, "Personal reasons."

Personal reasons?

Lemira looked at him curiously, sensing there was more to him, "Are you hiding secrets?" Orion paused for a moment.

He softly said, "Yes."

"So, were you some kind of secret agent before, with some mysterious mission, and now you're retired but still have secretive tasks to handle?"

Orion flicked her forehead, "Watch less TV."

Walking ahead with his long strides, Lemira had to jog to keep up, "Then why did you become our school doctor?"

It seemed unusual.novelbin

After getting in the car, Orion looked at her, "So interested in my story?"

"I suspect you were undercover at our school."

"Quite the imagination, perfect for a screenwriter."

Lemira smiled, "How did you know I've written scripts before?"

She had written scripts for Caspian in her past life.

Caspian, an actor and owner of a production company, was great at acting but not at running a business, constantly losing money due to a lack of good scripts.

She had tried her hand at

scriptwriting, but Caspian always dismissed her work. Ironically, it was her script that became a

blockbuster, making a fortune!

Yet, in the end, Caspian credited Evelina as the main creator, reducing her to a mere editor.

Her achievements were stolen once again.

Evelina, dubbed the most beautiful screenwriter, smoothly entered the entertainment world, becoming a star. Well, this time.

She wouldn't give Caspian the movie script.

Considering the timing, Caspian's TV series should have premiered.

But she hadn't received her scriptwriting fee yet!

She planned to reclaim what was hers, with interest!
