Chapter 26: Who Is That Man?

"Are you alright?" Diego asked me if I was okay before talking to Stacy. I nodded at him, and he suddenly placed his arm on my waist. I looked at him, but he just smiled at me.

"Ms. Forster, I'm sorry that I seldom attend here. Is everything okay?" He said and Stacy looked at Diego's arm and smiled.

"Oh! Not everything is perfect." She said and smiled at me but I knew that was just a fake smile.

I wanted to roll my eyes when I saw Travis looking at Diego.

"Oh, by the way. This is my Fiancé Travis and Honey; this is Mr Jenkins, a well-known business planner. "Diego offered his hand, but Travis didn't get it. Diego just smiled at him, but he showed no reaction.

"We already brought the wedding gowns, and we're sorry if I'm late. I still have to buy her lunch. " He apologized and smiled at me.

"No, it's fine. Besides, we were not rushing." She said. But the exact thing she said was that she wanted to see the wedding gowns as soon as possible. What a liar.

"Great, please excuse us in the meantime. She needs to eat her lunch. It's already late," Diego said but before we could walk. Stacy talks.

"Maybe we could eat together? We also bought lunch, and it's great talking about the plan while we're eating now that you are here," Stacy offered. Diego looked at me, asking for approval.

"What about him?" I asked him in a lower voice that made him get closer to me to hear my words.

"Don't worry, I told Rhian to call me immediately if he wakes up" he whispered to me. I nodded and he agreed.

When we first went to the car, I saw David still sleeping. Rhian was also busy with her phone, but she's sitting beside my son. I gave her lunch before we left them there.

"Actually, I didn't know that Jasmine was the one who would handle our wedding. I was surprised when I saw her, and I didn't know you knew her. Not only did you know her, but it seems like you were close with one another," Stacy said while we were eating. Diego chuckled and looked at me.

"I knew her more than anyone else" he confidently said, and he suddenly wiped the side of my lips.

"You have something in there," he said and gave me a bottle of water. I smiled before accepting it. "Thank you," I mouthed.

"Do you like this?" Stacy offered food to Travis and he opened his mouth and ate like a robot while looking at me. "You are saying, "You've known Jasmine for years?" Stacy asked again. Why can't she just shut her mouth and eat?

He placed food on my plate. He always does that even if we are not surrounded by other people, so I'm used to him. "Definitely yes," he answered. I looked at the time and worried that David might be awake now.

"You should leave after this okay?" I said and he knew what I meant.

"He's not part of this business, is he?" Travis asked Stacy, but he was looking at me.

I noticed that he kept looking at me. Even earlier he's like mad or something.

"Jasmine and Diego were business partners of Honey. But you as I can see-" she smiled at him.

"Business partner huh?" He repeated like his voice was insulting us.

My phone rang and it was Rhian. I looked at Diego...

"You have to go back now" he stood up and excused himself. I also followed him.

"We will just get you later," he said and held my hand. He opened the car, and I saw David, and he hugged me.

"Mommy," I kissed him on his chicks. Rhian got out of the car, and I told her to just wait for me inside.

"Did you sleep well?" I asked him and he nodded.

"Are you coming home with us?" He asked me while I was fixing his hair.

"No baby, mommy is still busy" he nodded and I told him to sit in the front seat. I also fixed his seatbelt.

After that, we talked for a while, and they left.

I went back inside, and I saw Stacy talking to Rhian. They went inside the room where we put the wedding gowns.

I also went there and we showed her the wedding gowns.

I went outside for a while because it irritates me how picky she is.

I stood in front of the door and sat in the chair.

"Damn it Travis, didn't you hear Stacy introduce him to you?" I irritatedly said and rolled my eyes. Here he goes again.

"I just asked my god-damned question! Who is Diego in your life?" He suddenly got mad for any reason.
