Wolf-less Omega Luna

CHAPTER 79: HELLO, BARBIE

CHAPTER 79: HELLO, BARBIE

Alana’s POV

I must have passed out somewhere around the fifth orgasm because I couldn’t remember how Axel moved me to the shower to clean me up. Even after waking up from my mini nap slash passing out slash subconscious break, Axel fulfilled the last of his promises.

All the blood in my body must have flown to the tip of my nose from being face down with my palms flat on the bathroom floor for more than ten minutes.

Axel rammed me from behind till my legs couldn’t hold me anymore, and even then, he gripped me firmly in place till we were both sure beyond any doubt that I would in fact not be able to string three words together to form a sentence or stand properly.

He promised that I wouldn’t be able to walk, but I couldn’t even stand for the last four to five minutes of our session. Talk of the following day.

When Axel and I were done in the shower, he carried me out of the bathroom and into the room with a towel draped over me. After drying my body and hair, he put me in one of his large t-shirts and tucked me under the covers.

Axel only wore black boxer briefs and got in bed with me. He peppered kisses on my forehead and temple and I fell asleep before he could call my name twice.

The next morning, I woke up Barbie-style. Not. Kidding.

When my eyes opened, I instantly sat up in bed and stretched my arms far away to my side,

stretching my toes too under the covers, and smiling to myself. It was reflexive and even I was surprised by it.

I also didn't fail to notice that I didn’t wake up from any nightmares. It could be that there was one, but I was probably too tired to even wake up scared and sweating.

Gosh. Could every day be “crazy sex” day?

Only after my little Barbie routine did I look to my side to notice that Axel was gone. As much as I would’ve wanted him to be by my side that morning, I remembered that I interrupted him from working last night. Not sorry. So, it made sense that he wasn't here with me.

As I attempted to get out of bed, Axel walked in with a tray in one hand, looking all dangerously gorgeous and glowy from the pounding from last night. Red flushed my cheeks just from the thought of it.

“Hey,” I said, or tried to say, but my throat was hurting.

“Morning, princess.” He cocked an eyebrow to me. “A sore throat?”

I shook my head, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of achieving his goals last night about me not being able to string sentences.

“I can tell when you lie. I warned you though,” he smiled.

Warlock.

Breakfast was freshly made sandwiches, avocados, strawberries, and tea.

Axel was right. I couldn’t walk properly, so we stayed in bed for most of the morning.

We could’ve stolen a few kisses at one point or the other though. Who knows?

——— We ended up staying inside till the sun started to lose its shine, talking about anything and everything, guessing, or rather, bickering about the sex of our baby.

Axel and I also went down to the kitchen to prepare lunch before we binge-watched a series till I napped on his shoulders.

He didn’t go back to his office to complete whatever work he was doing last night so I wasn’t expecting him to be with me tonight.

Soon, we were dressed up and at the center of town to address the pack. A crowd had formed. A sight I was now very used to —girls chattering with their friends, boys fighting, shifted wolves casually laying on the floor, observing, elderly wolves sitting in groups and discussing in hushed tones even if everybody could listen in on their conversation if they so wanted, patrol wolves strutting in the background, and Axel’s hand intertwined with mine.—

This was going to be quick. The pack was gathered to find out what Britney’s fate would be. Even if I could see myself doing something better with my evening, like making dinner with my mate or something, we needed to get this over with and move on. Permanently.

“Good evening, pack mates,” Axel’s baritone voice cut through the crowd, making it fall silent within a second, and causing me to shiver from the memories that were creeping into my mind.

Get a grip on yourself, Alana. Everyone will practically smell you in a second.

“Thank you for coming out on such short notice. As much as this is not one of my favorite things to do, we are here to decide the fate of one of ours who betrayed us with an enemy.”

Hushed whispers filled the corners.

On cue, two guards walked in with a haggard-looking Britney in chains. Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Her once thick, long, and shiny blonde hair was now unrecognizable. Her face too. She looked like she hadn’t seen light for days. She looked weaker than how I would look back in the day if I was just coming out from somewhere like the dungeon.

Axel had told me that she barely survived the attack. She fought off as many of the attackers as she could and she didn’t even try to save herself. It was more like she wanted that to be her end.

Too bad it was when it was already too late that she turned herself around.

Britney didn’t speak. She only glanced around once and it was quick enough for me to see that the shine that was always glinting in her eyes was no longer there. Something else about her felt off too.

I looked over at her for a sign of what it was but I couldn’t place it. She looked different. Lost.

“Britney has always been a thorn in the pack but most of her behaviors were always overlooked. This time, I’m afraid it can’t be any longer,” Axel continued.

Murmurs of agreement filled the air before Britney finally lifted her head and threw her hair to her

back, but this time without her hands since they were in chains.

“I’ve lost everything. Every goddamn thing I ever had.” She laughed dryly. “What more do you all think you can take from me?”

This was going to take longer than I had expected. How fun.
