"If you take one more step, I'll release that mutated virus right away."

Pearl turned her head, her gaze icy. "What do you want?"

"I've said it countless times, chat with me."

Pearl could only sit back. "Fine, talk then."

Lorrie smiled, a glint in her eyes that Pearl couldn't decipher. "Do you know what I've been through all these years?"

Lorrie burst into laughter. "You're too full of yourself, Pearl. Do you really think I returned just to snatch Richard away? I'm not a hopeless romantic."

"What do you want then?"
