Your Love Is My Weapon

Chapter 398

Chapter 398

Bridget looked at him, "Jacob."

Jacob looked at her to see what reason she could say.

Why did she bring up this unreliable thing?

"My brother... In fact, we all know it." Bridget said in a hollow and harsh voice, "The possibility that he

can come back alive is too small. Everything in the company falls on my sister-in-law alone. You know,

I've never been involved in the business, and I can't help at all..."

"But what does this have to do with the marriage?" Jacob felt confused.

Bridget smiled bitterly, "Don't you understand?"

Jacob nodded.

"Although you've been following my brother and doing your best for him and my sister-in-law, you're not

a member of the Jones Family after all," Bridget said in one go.

Jacob paused for a few seconds to understand Bridget's words.

Then he said with a bitter smile, "Is that why you want to marry me?"

Bridget nodded.

Jacob didn't even know what to say.

"I will work for the Jones Family for the rest of my life. You don't have to worry about this. Don't talk

about the marriage anymore. It's really ridiculous." Jacob lowered his head.

He scratched his hair in annoyance.

As for why he was annoyed, he could not explain it clearly.

Bridget lowered her eyes, "I know you've sacrificed your marriage..."

"No, it's not about sacrificing my marriage, but it's not necessary." He remembered that when there was

only one parachute left in the plane, Xavier asked him to wear it.

He didn't want to wear it at that time.

Xavier took it and put it on Jacob, "Just wear it. Cut the crap!"

"I will never betray him in my life. You can rest assured." Jacob said solemnly.

Bridget pursed her lips, "I've never doubted you, but my parents... I want them to be at ease."

There was not much she could do. It was the only thing that could make them feel better.

"I know it's unfair to you. After all, it will sacrifice your marriage..."

"That's not what I meant." Jacob interrupted her. He didn't know Bridget's concerns before, but now he

did. He didn't know how to refuse.

He lowered his head and felt a headache.

"Bridget, this is a lifetime thing. You've been married. If you get married to me, it will hurt you." The

reason why Jacob refused wasn't that it would sacrifice his marriage.

In fact, it was irrational to use marriage to reassure her parents.

Bridget stood up, "I understand what you mean. Don't say it."

"What do you understand?" Jacob frowned. She clearly felt that he was unwilling because it was

related to his marriage.

"I understand what you mean." Bridget knew that it was difficult for him to do that.

"It's late. Drive carefully." Bridget turned and walked towards the door.

After a few steps, she seemed to have thought of something. She turned to look at him, "Don't let my

sister-in-law know what I told you today, lest she worries."

Jacob nodded.

After Bridget left, Jacob was sitting there alone.

He hadn't recovered from what happened just now.

He always felt as if he had a dream.

The early morning sun shone gently through the curtains into the house.

Arya had an ache.

She sat on the ground with her hands on the chair. Her eyelashes flickered slightly and she slowly

opened her eyes. Her whole body was sore and numb.

"Sister-in-law, are you awake?" Outside the door was Bridget's worried voice.

"Ye..." She was about to say but realized that she was hoarse.

She propped up the chair with both hands and tried to stand up. Just as she moved, she sat back

down.

Her legs were numb.

"Sister-in-law, are you awake?" This time, Bridget's voice became more anxious, and Bridget turned the

doorknob so hard that it made noise.

"Yes." She answered loudly.

Hearing her voice, Bridget was much more relieved. "Your door can't be opened. I'm worried about

you."

Arya said, "I'm fine."

She rubbed her numb legs hard.

When she could stand up, she took off her wrinkled clothes and went into the bathroom to take a bath,

trying to make herself look more energetic.

She cleaned herself up and made sure that she looked energetic before she left the room. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Ryan was having breakfast. Arya walked over and sat down in the chair next to her. She reached out

and touched Ryan's hair, "Ryan, let me take you to school today, okay?"

Ryan blinked and looked at Arya. "Mommy, don't you have to go to the company today?"

Arya was often away from home, and his grandma said that his mother had to work at the company.

Arya put Ryan on her lap, stroked his forehead, and kissed him on the young face. "I can send you to

the school first."

Ryan grabbed the egg from the plate. "Mommy, you haven't had breakfast yet, have you? I'll peel an

egg for you."

He took the egg and gently smashed it on the table. The shell broke. He carefully peeled it bit by bit,

and handed it to Arya's mouth. Arya was moved. She opened her mouth to eat the egg that her son

handed her.

When she ate the egg yolk, she choked.

Ryan brought her his milk, "Grandma said egg yolk is good for eyes, but I don't like it. It's too dry.

Mommy, have some milk."

Arya opened her mouth to drink the milk that Ryan handed over and swallowed the egg in her mouth.

After breakfast, Arya carried Ryan out of the door. "I won't come back after I send him off."

Daisy said, "Yes."

The Deputy drove the car, and Arya was holding Ryan and sitting in the backseat.

Ryan seemed to know that his mommy was in a bad mood and leaned in her arms docilely without

saying a word.

Soon, they arrived at the kindergarten. The Deputy came to open the door for them. Arya came down

with Ryan in her arms and walked towards the kindergarten holding his hand.

Ryan had adapted well to life in kindergarten.

He held Arya's hand, "Mommy, my teachers all like me very much."

Arya looked down at him, "Really?"

"Yes." Ryan looked up at Arya and smiled, "Because I inherited all the good qualities of mom and dad."

Arya pinched his face, "How did you know that what you inherited are all good qualities?"

"Grandma said so, so did auntie." Ryan felt a little smug.

"Ryan." Ryan's teacher stood at the door.

Arya let go of his hand, "I will pick you up from school tonight."

Ryan waved at her and said, "I'll wait for you."

The teacher held Ryan's little hand, smiled at Arya, and brought Ryan into the classroom.

After watching Ryan enter the classroom, Arya left.

When Arya walked out of the kindergarten and was about to get in the car, she saw a man standing by

the side of the road. He was looking at her...
