” Really! We missed you too ” Layla replied, emphasizing on the word * We *.

As much as Shane would have loved to stop them, he couldn’t so Bryan wouldn’t find out he was in love with his secretary and not his wife.

Layla gasped inwardly when she remembered they were in Shane’s office and Shane had been watching. She bit her lips slowly before glancing at Shane. ” Um.. I should go back to work, I will see you later ” She said and Bryan nodded. He understood immediately that she had to work.

” I’m sorry sire ” She apologized and Shane was forced to nod even went he was burning in anger and jealousy deep down.

Layla rushed out of the office and Bryan turned to Shane in smiles while Shane had to cover his angry expression into a neutral one.

” She’s so pretty and nice ” Bryan commented and Shane had to force his head to nod. ” So where did you meet her? ” Bryan asked Shane but he kept mute. Bryan chuckled. ” Oh yeah, that’s a dumb question. She probably came herself to apply for a job ” He muttered to himself. He was so happy and in smiles that he couldn’t notice the glares Shane was giving him.

** The Girl’s Apartment **

” Argh Argh ” Mirah yelled on top of her voice and Layla covered her ears dramatically. ” Stop ” She groaned but Mirah didn’t stop.

She knelt in front of Layla. ” He came? You saw him! He talked to you! ” Mirah exclaimed and Layla nodded. ” Wow. Did you tell him to come visit us? ” Mirah asked and Layla shook her head. ” No, but he said he’s gonna come ” Layla said and Mirah screamed again.

” Oh my! My crush! ” She gushed and dashed into their room. Layla chuckled out loudly but it faded away when she remembered Shane’s expression when she was with Bryan. ” Gosh I even blushed. What’s wrong with me? ” She snapped at herself with a sigh.

Mirah dashed out again but this time looking so pretty in her dress. It was a short fitted blue gown and she came out stunning in that dress that even Layla couldn’t help but drool.

” Wow! You’re looking so hot ” Layla commented and she smiled. ” Of course.. ” She walked over to her and bent down, turning her back on her. She pointed at her unzipped zip and Layla understood what she meant. She helped her with the zip and Mirah smiled satisfactory.

” You know he didn’t say if he was taking us out ” Layla tried to say but Mirah scoffed. ” He’s surely taking us out, that’s one thing I’m sure off. Gosh I missed his handsome face. This time around I’m never letting go of him ” Mirah said with a baby face. Layla chuckled.

” What if he’s married? ” She teased and Mirah hissed. ” He dared not else I’mma strangle him ” She said and Layla chuckled.

Mirah was about saying another thing when the door bell rang, she gasped out loudly. ” It’s Bryan ” She whispered and Layla nodded. Layla made to stand but Mirah was quick to rush to the door.

She twisted the door knob and was disappointed to meet with Shane instead. ” Shane.. ” She called and Shane flashed her a smile. She accessed his body and he was looking handsome and dashing in his outfit. He was putting on a white shirt which exposed the upper part of his chest and a trouser. Mirah would have been drooling by now if only he were Bryan, but he wasn’t. But she couldn’t doubt the fact that he was looking so dashing.

” Who’s it? ” Layla was forced to stand when she realized Mirah hadn’t said a word ever since.

She was also suprised to see Shane. ” Shane ” She called in a whisper and he flashed her a light smile. ” I will excuse you two ” Mirah said and walked away.

Shane traced Mirah’s dressing as she walked away. ” Were you two planning to go out? ” He was forced to ask.

Layla shook her head a bit. ” Not really, Bryan said he was… ” She trailed off when she realized what she was about saying. Shane’s brows were raised.

” About Bryan.. ”

” You wanted us to go out right? ” Layla cut him off trying to avoid that question tho she knew she would have to tell him the truth sooner or later.

” Yeah, will you? ” He asked in a soft tone and Layla nodded. ” Yeah, I will go get dressed ” She might as well go out with Shane instead of Bryan so Mirah would have enough time with Bryan alone.

” You two are going out? ” Mirah asked as Layla entered their room and began searching for a cloth to put on. ” Yeah ” Layla replied. ” You’re not coming with us ( She and Bryan ) ” She asked and Layla chuckled.

” Like you really want me to come with you guys ” She teased and Mirah smiled sheepishly. ” When he asks of you what should I say? ”

” Tell him I had to go do something at school ” She said and Mirah nodded.

Layla walked out to Shane and he let out a simple smile on seeing her outfit. She was putting on a not too short skirt and a fitted blouse. She looked really stunning and breathtaking in the dress.

” Let’s go ” Layla snapped him out of his thoughts and he nodded. ” Ladies first ” He said and Layla smiled before walking ahead and Shane followed behind. He opened the back seat door for her and she smiled before entering. ” Thanks ” She muttered and he returned it with a smile.

Shane entered through the other door and his driver drove them off.

Almost immediately, Bryan’s car came to a halt in front of the Girl’s Apartment.

He alighted from his car and walked over to the door. He knocked at the door gently and almost immediately, the door opened up widely and there was Mirah looking stunning in her dress and she had a big smile on her face.

” Hey ” Bryan greeted with a smile and she smiled in return. ” Hi ” She said, smiling sheepishly and Bryan chuckled.

” Where’s Layla? ” He asked, trying to peep through the door.

” She had to go do something in school so she isn’t coming with us ” Mirah explained and she noticed Bryan’s face fell. She raised her brows. ” What? ” She asked confusedly.

” Um.. nothing ” He muttered and even one could notice his voice had changed. ” You don’t want to go with me? ” Mirah asked, pouting sadly. ” Of course not, let’s go ” He said with a forced smile and Mirah smiled brightly.

” Okay ” She said and after locking the door and hanging her bag on her arm, she led the way an Bryan followed behind definitely not interested in the outing anymore.

He only wanted to go on an outing ’cause of Layla but now she isn’t around.

” Wow this feels so nice ” Mirah gushed as she felt the coldness of the ice cream on her lips. ” Yeah ” Bryan was forced to say. It was really noticable that he wasn’t interested in the outing at all. They had gone to a mall, a restaurant and now they were trying an ice cream sold by someone in a stall.

” Come on, I’m serious! You’re only making it look like I’m the one forcing things here and I don’t like it ” She complained. ” Layla should be home by now right? ” Bryan asked instead, checking his phone and Mirah suddenly understood what was wrong.

She snatched Bryan’s phone angrily and he raised his brows. ” So it’s Layla and not me? Huh? ” She asked angrily.

” Mirah… ”

” Answer the damn question! You like Layla, I was never a choice right? It’s always been Layla! ” She yelled angrily and Bryan sighed, biting his lips.

” Great then. Thanks for all this, you can give them to Layla instead ‘ She said and threw the shopping bags Bryan’s guard were holding down to the floor. She also dropped the ice cone on the floor before running off in tears. Bryan sighed and ruffled his hair frustratedly.

** At A Fancy Restaurant **

The two were eating in silence before Layla suddenly broke the silence when she knew Shane wanted to say a thing but was keeping it in. They were the only one in the restaurant.

” Bryan… ” She trailed off and Shane raised his head immediately in anticipation.

” He’s just a friend. I don’t feel a thing for him ” She blurted out.
