Shane raised his brows the more. ” How did you meet him? ” He asked instead. ” Well, when we were still in high school. His brother was a friend of hers and we knew him from there.. ” She said.

” And he picked interest in you? ” Shane asked the most obvious question and Layla sighed. ” I guess ” She muttered.

” Did you purposely do that to make me jealous? ” He asked and she raised her head up at him. ” Huh? ”

” You blushed when he said those sweet words to you. Did you do that purposely? ” He asked, looking at her intently and Layla shook her head immediately. ” No, ofcourse not. I didn’t mean to do that “She muttered the the last words.

” You did that ’cause you liked him too right? ” Shane asked again and she sighed.

” You knew I was hurt right? But you never bothered to came back to explain things to me ” He muttered, turning his attention back to the meal in front of him.

” I’m sorry ” Layla muttered as she also looked down at her food.

” You really don’t like him right? ” Shane asked, this time around looking up again. ” Yes, I don’t. I promise ” Layla assured, also looking up.

Shane let out a sigh of relief as a smile played unconsciously on his lips while Layla wondered why she was bothered about not hurting Shane’s feelings.

” You can’t love anyone apart from me! Okay! ” Shane suddenly said, looking at Layla possessively.

Layla was too stunned to speak. She never knew he had this possessive side of his. ” Promise? ” He said more like a plead and Layla found herself nodding even without knowing.

He brought her hand forward on the table and rubbed on it gently before placing a kiss on it. The soft lips of his alone sent shivers down to her body and she had to hold the hem of her skirt tightly. She reacts so deeply to his every touch, they could make her go gaga.

” I love you ” Shane muttered, his hand still on hers. ” I love you too ” Layla wished she could voice it out but she can’t.

” Would you like us to go anywhere else? ” Shane asked and Layla nodded immediately. ” Yeah, your house ” She replied and he raised his brows. ” Why? ” He was forced to ask.

” I missed the scent of it and I wanna see Lady Macbeth too ” She muttered.

** Shane’s Apartment **

Shane held her palm into his as they both walked into his apartments. The maids kept smiling sheepishly at the sight while some couldn’t contain their happiness when they saw Layla as they kept waving at her and she waved back at them.

” What are you? A celebrity? ” Shane whispered into her ear and they both chuckled simultaneously. They looked at themselves and then smiled brightly.

” You should go see Lady Macbeth, I’ll be in my room ” Shane said and she nodded as he released her. Layla rushed to Lady Macbeth’s room happily and she ( Lady Macbeth ) was more than happy when she saw Layla.

She rushed to her immediately and pulled her into a hug. ” I missed you ” She muttered and Layla smiled. ” I missed you too ” She also muttered. Lady Macbeth broke the hug with smiles on her face and Layla also had smiles on her face.

” Wow, you’re looking so pretty and fresh now. Your check is so full and you look a bit fatter. Shane is really taking good care of you ” She said and Layla couldn’t help but blush.

” What… are you saying? ” Layla said trying to cover her red cheeks.

” What? I know what’s going on between you two now! He wouldn’t stop explaining things to his friend, Alec. How much he can’t get you out of his head, how much he loves you and how happy he felt when you also confessed your feelings and how soft your lips was… ”

” Stop ” Layla said, flushed in embarrassment as she covered her already reddened cheeks which looked so red like a tomato and she felt they were going to burst soon.

” He loves you so much even more than he had ever loved any lady. Please don’t break his heart ” Lady Macbeth pleaded and she nodded.

” Is that a promise? ” Lady Macbeth asked and she nodded again.

” Thanks ” Lady Macbeth smiled and Layla also smiled.

” You should go meet him now ” She said and Layla hugged Lady Macbeth lightly before walking out of her room and she headed straight to Shane’s Suite.

She got there and made to knock but then decided against it. She opened the door slowly and no one was inside. She entered fully and walked deeper into his suite before proceeding to his room.

She knocked gently at the door but got no response. She pushed the door opened and was shocked to see Shane standing inside his room shirtless. She gasped lowly. Did he purposely didn’t give a response so she could see his shirtless body?

” Um.. I.. I should leave ” She stuttered awkwardly, still not taking her eyes off his muscular body. His abs and his full six packs. His hefty muscles alone were enough to make her drool. She suddenly lost herself.

Shane smirked seeing the effect on her face and without wasting time, he walked over to her and pulled her to himself. She let out a tiny gasp and he smashed his lips on hers. Layla’s lips were swollen heavily and she smiled as she reminisced on the hot section she had with Shane earlier.

” You care to tell me why you’re smiling sheepishly? ” Mirah asked in a scoff.

” Nothing ” Layla muttered still smiling. Mirah scoffed before walking out on her.

Layla knew something was wrong, she ran after Mirah and caught up with her. She held her hand. ” Hey what’s wrong? Did something happen at the outing with Bryan? ” Layla asked worriedly and Mirah scoffed before jerking her hand from Layla’s grip.

” Not like you care ” She muttered and made to walk away but Layla blocked her again. ” Alright I’m sorry. Did anything really happen? ” She asked, pleadingly.

” Really? You wanna know? ” Mirah asked, folding her arms and Layla nodded gently.

” Well, You caused it. Seems Bryan is head over heels for you and not for me. I got rejected and I had no choice than to leave angrily. Seems he’s gonna come here for you tomorrow so you two can start the real outing he had been craving for ” Mirah said with a hiss and Layla sighed.

” Is that why you’re angry at me? ”

” Oh, I shouldn’t right? You don’t have to worry anyways, you got two hot billionaires all by yourself, you can choose any of them for all I care ” She snapped and made to leave but Layla held her hand.

” I’m sorry, I wasn’t aware of this I promise. I would try to talk to Bryan okay? ” She pleaded and Mirah scoffed the more.

” Oh really, so I’m gonna look like I’m head over heels for him and I want him so bad! Huh? I’m not that desperate,, dude!! You know how much I hate one sided love just like you!! I don’t want it!! If he doesn’t love me then I’m fine with it. You can have him for all I care! ” She yelled angrily and walked away.

” Gosh ” Layla sighed and ruffled her hair frustratedly. Her phone beeped and it was a message notification from Bryan. She wanted to ignore it at first but then decided against it.

She clicked on it and she sighed when she read out the text in her head. * Would you be around tomorrow? Let’s go on a date *

” Gosh, I’m in a tight spot ” She sighed for the umpteenth time.

She wanted to type a reply but decided against it. Bryan has been so good to her from the start, she can’t hurt his feelings.

” What do I do? ” She thought silently, biting her lips.
