He finally let go of her lips and she breathe out heavily. He pulled her to the bed and hugged her to himself, caging her in his arms.

” When did you get here? ” He asked in a whisper, his eyes were closed. ” Some minutes ago ” Layla replied, looking into his eyes.

” Why are you this tired? ” She asked silently. ” There was so much to do where we went. It was so exhausting ” He muttered tiredly. ” Do you want to get enough rest? I can leave ” She said but he shook his head and instead pulled her more closer.

” Don’t leave, stay still ” He said more like an order. ” But.. I have to work ” She said but he didn’t give a reply. ” Shane.. ” She called slowly and raised her head up to see that he had fallen asleep.

” Oh ” She muttered and bit her lips slowly before closing her eyes and falling into a deep trance.

” Where are we heading? ” Layla kept asking Shane as they drove off to a strange land. It was getting dark already and she couldn’t really identify where they were heading to.

” We’re here ” Shane said as his car let out a honk and the wide gate opened itself. He drove into where seems like a private estate.

” You own this place? ” Layla asked surprisingly, looking around. The place had lights all over that one could see clearly even though it was dark.

” Yeah ” He muttered as his car came to a halt. Layla got down first before he did. ” Wow ” She said, looking at the beautiful waterfall.

” You wanna play there? ” He asked with a smile and she nodded excitedly. ” Go on ” He said and she smiled before running off to the waterfall and began playing with the water.

” Here ” Shane handed his key over to a guard who stood beside him. The guard caught the key and the other one helped Shane with his coat.

” Take care of her ” He said, referring to Layla and they nodded. ” I will be in my suite ” He muttered the last part before heading inside the gigantic mansion a little farther from them. The compound was so widely spaced that could contain three big mansions. The mansion too wasn’t left out, it was really big.

Layla kept playing with the waterfall happily, it’s been long since she played with something like this, ever since she was a kid. She smiled tiredly but stopped and then looked around to get a glimpse of Shane but caught none.

” Where’s he? ” She muttered and took a glance at her already wet clothes. ” I need to change them ” She muttered and her eyes caught the two guards who looked like they were guarding her.

She walked over to them. ” Hi ” She bowed lightly and they also bowed.

” Where’s Shane? ” She asked in her head as she decided against it. ” He probably needs enough rest ” She thought.

” Um, is there a room where they’re clothes for a lady? I want to change my clothes ” She asked.

” Follow me miss ” One of them said and led the way.

” Wow ” She muttered as he led her in, she was wowed at the sight of the interior sight, it was so pretty and beautiful.

” Here miss ” The guard stopped at a door and she bowed lightly. ” Thanks ” She muttered and he bowed in return.

” You’re waiting here? ” She asked when he refused to leave. ” I can leave if you want ” He said. ” Um sure, you can stay somewhere close instead, probably by the stairs if that’s okay with you or you could just go back to your post ” She said and he nodded.

She watched as he descended the stairs and he stood by the edge of the staircase.

Layla smiled lightly before entering the room. ” Wow ” She was forced to say again. This looks so big, even bigger than their whole apartment. ” Wow ” She muttered the more, staring at the widely spaced room she was to stay that day.

She headed towards the wide and big wardrobe and she also had the same suprised look on.

The wardrobe was filled with varieties of girls clothing. ” Does he bring girls here regularly? ” She was forced to voice out.

She brought out a night robe and after stripping herself off her wet clothes, she headed straight to the bathroom to take a night shower.

She walked out of the shower with her robe on already and she was drying her hair with a dryer she saw inside a drawer.

” He has been here with someone before? ” She thought as she saw that all necessities a girl would need were made available.

” Who’s it? Is it Brielle or one of his exes? Or is it all of them? ” She thought feeling a tinge of jealousy. She scoffed lightly before dropping the dryer. She dried her hair with a towel, after she was done.. she laid on the bed and tried closing her eyes but she suddenly felt attracted to Shane again.

She couldn’t sleep, she let out a sigh as she got up from the queen sized bed and headed towards the door. She put on a comfy slippers before walking out of the room. She walked round the mansion for some minutes before she finally got to where Shane was.

He was lying on the bed with his eyes shut but he doesn’t seem like he was sleeping.

She moved closer to his bed. His room was just as big as hers.

” Are you still asleep? ” She asked silently, trying not to wake him if truly he was still asleep. He opened his eyes slowly and touches the space beside him. She smiled and got on the bed with him.

” You can’t sleep? ” His voice came out silently and she nodded. ” Come here ” He said and pulled her closer to him. He placed a kiss on her forehead. ” You’re fine now right? ” Layla asked worriedly and he nodded.

” Yeah ” He muttered. She raised her head up a bit to his view. ” So why did we come here? ”

” So we can have enough rest ” He replied, pecking her lips and she nodded. He pecked her lips more deeper this time around before breaking it again.

” So, how many girls have you ever brought to this place? ” She asked and tho he was suprised at her question, he chuckled and looked away.

” Come on, tell me the truth ” She said cutely, pulling him back to her. He faces her and placed a kiss on her nose. ” You and only you alone ” He said and she scoffed.

” You don’t believe me? ” Shane asked and she nodded. ” Why? ” He asked.” ’cause I saw lots of girly stuffs in the wardrobe and there’s even a dryer.. ” She trailed off when she saw his raised brows.

” What? ” She asked with a shrug. ” Who do you think I might have brought here then? ” He asked and she let out a scoff.

” I don’t know, probably Brielle or some of your exes ” She said an he chuckled. ” Well, you’re the only girl I will bring here and you’re going to be the last girl I will ever bring here ” He said with a look of sincerity on his face and she blushed lightly.

” Brielle hadn’t been here before? ” She asked, a bit suprised and he nodded. ” I planned to bring her once but she ruined it. She didn’t show up at the date I planned for her ” He said and she nodded. ” She has always been fond of disappointing you right? ” She asked and he nodded.

” I guess ” He muttered and shut his eyes and she also did the same. He suddenly opened his eyes and stared at her. She felt a stare on her and she opened her eyes.

” What? ” She asked with a raised brow. ” You know Claus is dating Tina right? ” He suddenly asked and Layla was more than suprised. ” Huh? ” She asked unsure of what to say. ” I guess it’s the truth then ” He muttered and shut his eyes.

” Um, what are you going to do about it? ” Layla asked worriedly and he opened his eyes and then raised his brows.

” Are you going to sack one of them? ” She asked, hoping he wouldn’t do that. ” Why would I do that? ” Shane asked.

” Well, I heard bosses don’t like when their staffs are in relationship with each other ” She muttered and he smiled. ” Not me, I’m rooting for them ” He said and she raised her brows surprisingly.

” Yeah, Claus has been a really good friend and brother to me and it’s the same for Tina, she’s been really consistent. And I have no problem since they don’t make it that obvious. ” When are we leaving? ” Layla asked. ” Tomorrow morning, we’re heading straight to work ” He said and she nodded before shutting her eyes and almost immediately, sleep took over.
