Her mood had changed completely and it looked like she was jealous or annoyed or she’s both. Shane let out a sigh. ” I’m sorry ” He muttered.

” No, it’s fine. You should enjoy your wife’s meal ” She said and with that, walked out of his office. Shane let out a sigh.

Why’s she acting all jealous when he explained everything to her already? He really can’t wait for every to end.. he actually ending up with Layla after explaining things to Brielle and she giving up.

He knows it’s going to be hard but he has to try and would only have to hope he pull through. His phone rang and he picked up his phone. It was Brielle calling.

He placed the phone to his ears after clicking on the green button. ” You’re at work right? ” Was the first thing she said. He raised his brows. ” Huh? ”Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

” I’m outside your company ” She said to his hearing. ” Why? Aren’t you going to work? ” He asked a bit suprised.

” Really? Like you’re going to be okay with me suddenly going to work after we just settled things yesterday ” She said with a scoff. ” Anyways, I will be in there in some minutes ” She said and hanged up.

Shane let out a sigh before dropping his phone and continued with his work.

Some minutes later, Brielle walked in. She was dressed in a long fitted gown with a cap on her head making her look hot as her hair flowed down her shoulders.

” Really? You haven’t eaten? ” Brielle asked as her eyes caught the box she gave him in the morning sitting on the couch available in the office.

” As you can see, I’ve been busy ” Shane muttered, not looking up from his table. Brielle walked over to him and cleared the files off his table. ” Come on ” Shane groaned and she chuckled at how cute he looked when he said that. Shane noticed this and adjusted his look to a neutral one.

” Give me the files. I will be done soon, I really need to work on them ” He said but Brielle shook her head. ” No, you should eat your food first. Can’t believe you allowed it to be this cold before you would eat it ” She muttered as she unwrapped the box and brought out a flask.

” You should be lucky this flask is really good. The food is still as hot as ever ” She muttered.

She opened it widely for him. ” I made omelettes for you, remember you love eating them as breakfast ” She said and he let out a chuckle. ” Yeah ” He muttered. She brought out the cutleries and handed it over to him.

He dig in almost immediately and Brielle let out a big smile as she watched him chew slowly. ” I’m glad he didn’t reject it ” She muttered silently to herself.

Her eyes caught a glimpse of Shane’s wallpaper and she raised her brows. She took it and tapped on the screen to make it pop out more clearly. It was the image of a lady and she was quick to recognize her as the girl he was kissing the other day she barged into his office.

She felt jealous and probably angry but she didn’t show it. Shane didn’t notice as he only kept on chewing his delicious omelette.

” Why does it feels like I have met her again after the incident? ” She thought and her eyes widened. She dropped his phone back to it’s spot.

The secretary she saw the other day. It’s her. Is Shane really dating her? Are they in love with each other? Would she take Shane away from her? ” No, that can’t be possible ” She uttered to herself immediately. Shane raised his head to her confusedly.

” Are you okay? ” He asked and she turned to him with a little smile. ” Yeah, I’m fine ” She muttered and Shane nodded.

He was almost done with his food and can’t wait to return to his work. No doubt he was hungry but he had a lot to tend to, that was why he had left his meal untouched.

The door suddenly pushed open slowly and it was Layla. The duo raised their head to her. Layla was more than shocked to see Brielle sitting on Shane’s desk while he ate the meal she had prepared for him. But what made her a bit scared was that she held a drink on her hand, she had bought it at the company’s restaurant for him.

But how would she give it to him when his wife is right there with them in the office. Brielle raised her brows when she saw Layla holding tightly to a drink she was holding. ” Is she here to give it to him? ” She thought as she watched her obviously scared to move.

” So it’s true. They’re really dating ” She muttered and turned to Shane who also was clueless on what to do and only stared at Layla. Brielle let out a little smirk. She should at least pretend to be clueless for now.

” Why are you standing there saying nothing? ” Brielle asked and Layla jerked out of her thoughts. She looked at Brielle and then bowed lowly. ” The drink you’re holding.. it’s mine right? ” Brielle asked.

” Huh? ” Layla asked confusedly. ” I had asked you to bring it to me right? ” Brielle said confusing Layla the more.

Brielle stood up and walked over to Layla. She collected the drink. ” Thanks. You can leave ” She said and Layla nodded anyways, not knowing what to do.

” Here.. I ordered it for you to step down your omelette ” Brielle said with a wink to Shane. ” Thanks ” He muttered and took a glance at Layla who was just walking out of the office

” Did you really ask her to bring this to me? ” Shane asked and she nodded. ” Of course. Why else would she bring a drink to your office ” She said and Shane nodded as he took a sip of the drink.

” How did you know I like vanilla flavor now? ” Shane asked as he tasted the drink. Brielle raised her brows. ” I loved banana flavor before and you knew that then but during your absence, I got to love vanilla. How are you aware? ” He asked looking at her strangely.

” No one knows about this, except Layla ” Shane thought. ” So, they really are dating. For her to know his taste is now vanilla flavor ” Brielle thought in jealousy.

” I asked her ” She blurted out and Shane raised his brows. ” Huh? ”

” I was just joking. I didn’t tell her which flavor to get, I only told her to get me a drink for you. I guess she might have chosen any random flavor ” Brielle said and Shane nodded.

” Yeah, you’re right ” Shane muttered.

Layla was more than confused and shocked as she walked into her office. She was feeling different emotions at that moment. First, it’s confusion then she’s shocked and jealous.

She couldn’t believe the two were getting so along well that Shane was even enjoying her meal while she sat in his front and watched as he ate. Then, Brielle collected the drink she had purchased for Shane, saying she ( Brielle ) sent her ( Layla ) to get it for her so she could give Shane. When was that? She can’t even remember seeing Brielle ever since she saw her last at the office.

Why would she suddenly come up with that lie? Was she aware already that she was having an affair with her husband and was trying to gain his favor like some sort of competition? She’s madly confused and at the same time, mad at Shane. He couldn’t even say a thing as he was confused on what to do.

Does that mean if Brielle finally found out and confront him, he wouldn’t say a thing in her favor and would only let Brielle say things to her? Does this mean in the end, she might really lose?

Should she give up?

*** The Girl’s Apartment ***

” She did that? ” Mirah asked and Layla nodded. ” Thought you said she was nice? ” Mirah asked surprisingly and Layla sighed.

” I’m confused too. I really don’t know why she did that. She probably knows the truth now and would try everything possible to make Shane hers or.. I just don’t know ” Layla muttered.

” I knew she was going to be a problem from the start.. it’s just too bad Shane hasn’t said a word to her about you ” Mirah said and Layla nodded.

” Yeah, it’s like he’s scared or something… ” Layla was interrupted by a knock at the door.

” Who’s it? Are you expecting someone? ” Mirah asked Layla but she shook her head.

” No.. Shane didn’t say a thing about coming ” She muttered as she walked over to the door

She opened the door widely and was more than shocked to see Brielle standing right before her with a smirk playing on her face. Her face widened in shocked as she stared at her unbelievably.
