* The Girl’s Apartment *

” I love you ” Shane said and Layla chuckled. They were still sitted in his car. He came to drop her off at home. It’s the next day already.

” You said that more than a hundred times already ” Layla exaggerated and he smiled. ” It’s ’cause I love you so much ” He said sincerely, staring deeply into her eyes and that sent a blush to her cheeks as her cheeks reddened immediately.

She smiled and looked at him. ” Yesternight was great ” He suddenly said and that made her blush more heavily that she had to look away from his gaze.

Shane smiled and pulled her face to his and smashed his lips on hers slowly, kissing her passionately and she responded immediately, kissing him sweetly.

She broke the kiss first and pecked his lips again, he smiled before moving his face away from hers.

” I should leave then ” She said and Shane nodded. She smiles before alighting from the car. She closed the door slowly and Shane wined down the car’s window and she came to view. He waved lightly at her and she did the same and watched as he drove off. She smiled lightly and after he was out of view, she made her way inside the mansion.

” So, you two skip home now? You now work overnight? ” Mrs Brown asked immediately Layla entered making her stop on her tracks, she raised her brows but Mrs Brown scoffed.

” Where are you coming from? You two.. ” She gestured at Mirah who sat down on the couch, looking at them and looking as innocent as ever. ” You two didn’t come home last night.. and you.. ” She snapped at Layla.

” Don’t you dare lie to me! I saw you alight from a man’s car now! Who’s he? ” Mrs Brown asked and Layla gulped down into nothing as she found no right words to use.

” Is that your boyfriend? I hope he’s not! ‘Cause that car doesn’t look like a poor man’s car! ” Mrs Brown snapped and Layla smiled nervously.

” Your boss must be a really nice man ” Mrs Brown commented and Layla nodded hurriedly. ” Yes he is! ” She said at once but Mrs Brown scoffed.

” But that doesn’t change the fact that they are all life destroyers! ” She said retaining that hateful face she makes and Layla sighed seeing it was fruitless if she tried to start a conversation about it again to her mom.

” I will head in to my room then ” She announced and Mrs Brown nodded as she walked over to the sitting room while Layla walked over to the stairs that lead to her room and Mirah hurried behind.

They both walked into Layla’s room. She sighed tiredly as she landed on the bed flatly and Mirah did the same.

” We did it again today ” The two said together to themselves at once like they had planned it. They turned to themselves in suprise and then chuckled out loud.

” How was it? ” Mirah asked. ” It was so sweet and satisfying ” Layla muttered as she grabbed the pillow to herself and stuffed it on her face.

” Same here.. I almost passed out as a result of too much drilling from Bryan. Gosh he fvcking drilled so fast into my hole and I felt my insides burning ” Mirah said as she reminisced on the occurrence with a smiley face. Layla chuckled as she closes her eyes, ready for sleep to take over.

She was still feeling sleepy tho she had slept as much as she wanted yesternight.

** Next Day **

Mrs Brown walked in into Layla’s room to take out her laundries. She had been to Mirah’s room first. Surprisingly, the two were okay by themselves in different rooms tho some days like yesternight, Mirah would come over to Layla’s room and vice versa.

Mrs Brown heard sound of water splatters and she knew immediately that Layla was having her bath. She began taking our Layla’s dirty clothes.

While doing this, Layla’s phone suddenly beeped out loudly indicating she had a call. Mrs Brown decided to ignore it since it was none of her business.

The phone kept on ringing and she sighed before walking over to where it was placed. She picked it up and * Shane * was written boldly on it. It had several love emojis on it and she knew it must be some one special to her .

The call ended itself while she was still holding it. She was about dropping the phone when the phone beeped indicating that it had a message. She was almost clicking on the message notification when the door to the bathroom slide open and Layla walked out of it, her wet body wrapped in a towel.

Mrs Brown dropped the phone as Layla’s gaze fixed on the phone in her hands. She carried her basket and walked past her. She was almost walking out of Layla’s room when she stopped an turned back to Layla who was still confused and trying to get whet her mom was doing with her phone.

” You missed a call from your boyfriend, Shane ” She said and with that, walked out of Layla’s room while Layla’s eyes widened in shock.

She rushed over to where the phone was immediately and when she saw she had a message. She clicked on it.

” I won’t be coming to work today, I will come pick you up later in the evening. We should go on a night date ” She read and released a sigh of relief.

She’s glad he hadn’t sent any other thing apart from this, even if her mom has read it, it wouldn’t make a meaning to her right?

** Breakfast Time **

” So.. Layla when would you make us meet your boyfriend? ” Mr Brown suddenly asked during breakfast and Layla almost choked on her food but Mira was quick to offer her water. Mrs Brown scoffed at her pretense.

” Why do I feel like you don’t want us to meet him? ” Mr Brown asked further.

” It’s not that dad.. he’s actually not around ” She lied and Mrs Brown raised her brows. ” He brought you home yesterday.. how come he’s not around? ” She asked suspiciously.

” He went on a business trip with the CEO of our company ” She lied further and Mr Brown nodded.

” I wanna see him once he’s back ” He said authoritavely and Layla nodded. ” What about you Mirah? Have your parents seen your boyfriend? ” Mrs Brown asked and Mirah nodded with a smile.

” Yes mom. They have ” She replied and Mrs Brown nodded. ” I hope they’re good with you two’s relationship? ” She asked further and Mirah nodded .

” That’s good then ” Mrs Brown said and Mirah smiled lightly

** Kent’s Enterprise **

” Morning ” Layla greeted Tina as she ( Layla ) walked into their office. ” Morning ” Tina replied as she typed on her phone.

Layla walked over to her seat and sat down before raising her head to Tina who seemed busy with her phone, typing fastly in smiles.

” You’re chatting with Claus? ” Layla asked and Tina raised her head to Layla, a little bit shocked.

” How did you know? ” She asked and Layla chuckled. ” Of course I would know. You’re typing all fast and you’re in smiles like someone who’s in love. That alone shows it’s your fiance ” She said and Tina chuckled. Claus had actually proposed to Tina some months ago and their wedding would be coming up soon.

” Yeah it’s him ” Tina muttered. ” You could meet him at his office if you’re feeling lovesick. Shane isn’t around ” Layla said and Tina sighed. ” I would have loved to but Claus isn’t at work too ” She muttered, her gaze now back to her phone again.

Layla raised her brows. ” Really? Where’s he? ”

” He went together with Shane to the airport to pick up Brielle ” She muttered and Layla raised her brows.

” Brielle? ” Layla asked with a raised brow and in shock. Tina nodded and Layla spranged up.

” Oh my Goodness! Brielle is back!? ” She screamed in suprise and Tina nodded, still not looking up.

” Gosh that jerk… Why wouldn’t he tell me, we could have gone together. He’s so annoying, I’m sure gonna kill him once he’s back ” Layla gritted her teeth grumpily as she walked back to her seat.

” Brielle.. brielle is back!! ” She screamed in her head, in excitement.
