Celine’s POV :

I had dressed myself in a black gown after applying some ointment on my bruises. Katie was growing excited for tonight and I was nervous yet had high hopes to find more clues.

“Are we ready now? ” I asked her.

“Yes! ”

We walked out of the room and went into the dark corridor. There were not enough soldiers outside and those who were present, they didn’t mind me going anywhere. Katie was in her kitten form and completely hidden under my tight grip. She was warm and jumping with excitement.

“Sshh. Don’t move so much. ”

We were able to get out to the staircase of the top floor of the Royal chambers. That must hold the secrets related to my mother because she had been a part of this place too.

“Again? Is he calling you in the bedroom now? Have you again compromised yourself? ”

My body turned cold as I heard Alpha Tyrion. He came out of the dark and his bloodshot eyes asked me unspoken questions. I never wanted him to blame me so much.

“I am not going to meet any man… ”

He scoffed, ” Then where are you going? In the middle of the night? ”

“I am trying to find something related to my past. I want to know about some secrets. ”

He held my hand and pushed me against the wall, making kitten fall on the floor. She hissed in pain and hid behind me. Alpha Tyrion picked her up and continued to look at her.

“Who’s this? Isn’t it the same kitten who was in the old chambers too? ” He asked, still holding her. Kitten tried to run away from his grip but he was adamant on keeping her in the place.

“What’s going on, Celine? ” He asked, finally letting go of her.

He lifted my face as he held it up by my chin. I looked into his blue orbs. I hated to see him this hurt. I wanted to do something to help him. To tell him.

“Then tell me! ” He shouted, ” Why are you stopping yourself from doing so? ”

I couldn’t look into his anymore because it was as if he was hypnotizing me.

“Alpha… I don’t think our relationship is this strong. We signed a contract. You told me you hated my existence. And that you will never love me ever! ”

He ran his hand through his hair, ” Do you think I was sleeping with you because I wanted to use you? That I didn’t see you as a potential mate? ”

I nodded my head, wiping my tears off my face. The truth was bitter but it had to be said. The lump in my throat tightened.

“Yes, after all I don’t have kingdoms named after me. I am not carrying your pup. I wasn’t even your choice! That cunning men tied me to you. It was so difficult to even imagine what we went through. I had always felt inferior and insecure about our relationship even though sometimes I would fantasize about how Alpha Tyrion had started to give me enough attention and the care which every women desired. But the reality that it was never a bond for him was something which could not be hidden for so long.

What was even the use of me telling him about the mate bond if he couldn’t feel it? What if he would say I was just lying?

“Celine! You think like that about us… ” His mouth was agape, ” You have hurt me more than the death of my own father today. Your words are like poisonous thorns. ”

“But this is the truth… ”

“No! ” He growled, his fangs on display, ” The truth is I love you! I love you Luna Celine. You’re mine. I marked you. My wolf marked you that night when I was out of reasoning. He knew what he was doing. Your wolf knows about it too. ”

My knees went wobbly and I could feel my heart threatening to burst open from my chest. I couldn’t believe his words. He was still looking at me.

Now, that got me by surprise too. I frowned at Katie but she was wiggling her brows getting happy with the information she shared about Ava.

I just stood there like a clown with my face red and wet from the big revelations. Katie noticed me looking at Alpha Tyrion.

“Please continue again. That display of love. I shouldn’t have disturbed you during the confession. ” She chuckled and stood in the corner again.

Alpha Tyrion and me stared at each other. He was the one who moved first.

“I love you, Celine. I don’t care about Ava, Calle, your past or any other problem coming our way. When I say I love you, I mean it. I can’t imagine letting you go. I don’t care in which corner of the Earth you hide, I will always find you. To beg for your love. To beg for the bond which we were meant to have. ”

I couldn’t hold myself any longer and hugged him like it was the last day of my life.

“I love you too. I have always loved you… ”

He kissed me and I clutched the back of his head.

“Ummm should I just leave now because things are getting heated? ” Katie laughed.

Alpha Tyrion chuckled, ” Thanks for keeping an eye on Ava.”

She bowed her head, ” I always keep my eyes on her. You know she wears lots of makeup! ” I laughed as I wiped my face.

Alpha Tyrion looked at me again, ” Now, where are we going dressed up in all black? ”
