Mom refuses to tell me what she discussed with Lisa; I knew something was wrong when Lisa called. She won’t be coming to work because she needs to get enough rest.

Lisa refused to go to the hospital with me to get some medical attention; suddenly, she started ignoring my calls and text messages; she always gives excuses, which is so unlike her.

I turned my car around, heading home to meet mom and question her, so I know what she has done to my Lisa.

I got shocked seeing Jordan with my mother at home, ” Son, you ought to be at work right now? What are you doing here? Or are you missing your future wife?” Mom asked; I notice how Jordan was blushing over the missing part.

“Mom, please stop calling her my future wife; stop deceiving someone daughter when you and I know that I will never love her not to talk of getting married to her.”

“Ma, I will excuse you both now; it seems I am not supposed to be present in this discussion.” Jordan said, standing up about to take her leave when I stopped her by yelling at her,” You are sitting here because my frustration right now concerns you and my mother.”

“Theo, what’s the meaning of this?”

“Mom, what did you tell my girlfriend Lisa that’s making her act so funny?”

“Oh, she has brainwashed you to speak to your mother disrespectful?”

“Stop blaming her mother; she did no such thing; I want to know what you told her?”

“Isn’t it obvious that brat is ending the relationship with you? If she has moved on, then move on with Jordan.”

On my way out, I ignored my mother as she kept on calling; Jordan stopped me.

“F**k off,” I said before finally taking my leave.

I kept on calling Lisa, but she wasn’t answering the phone; I decided to see her at home unexpectedly.

I notice the place was locked; where could she have gone to.

“Lisa, how do you expect me to focus at work when you are absent? Are you feeling much better now?”

“Yes, I am; I don’t think I can continue working at your company.”

I didn’t know the kind of response to give, so I said to her,” I am starving, and I guess you are too; let’s go eat at a restaurant.”

I didn’t let her oppose me when I carried her into the car.

“You are so stubborn, Theo.”

“I learnt it from you.” She smiled finally; I knew my mother was wrong; Lisa and I will never break up.

We arrived at the restaurant; we both just ordered rice, stew and enough beef.

I got amazed seeing Lisa eating habit got changed, she can finish more than two plates, but one thing I like about her is her precious smile.

“Kyle birthday is fast approaching? What do you think we get for him as a couple?”

She started laughing, and I could feel happiness around me.”You are so funny; we are not yet married; why saying as a couple.” She said, still laughing.

“It’s not funny; I can make it official if you want; we can get married tomorrow; what do you think?” We both laughed.

“I don’t think I can go on with the evil plan anymore; we suffered the family already and cost so many pains that they had to pretend in the open, which we know of, let the lost hope live.” He said with a shaking voice.

“You are not backing down just like that; remember the lives we lost; do they mean nothing to you? Remember my innocent daughter who went there in search of me. Boss lost his treasure too.”

“No, I won’t back down just saying, but how will you do it? If their hope has come off age already? Are you ready to be a monster to strangle her to death? The young hope is innocent Oscar, let it go, no one knows her, we still win and got what we wanted.”

I kept rolling on the bed, not enjoying my sleep at all.

I barely sleep at night, and I tried taking a little rest at work in the maid’s room. Still, I can’t get enough rest?

What the hell is happening, or should I tell Kyle to take me to a hotel so I sleep in his arms? Maybe I can get a good rest that way.

I smiled.

I managed to get on my feet to leave the room when Brenda rushed In.

“Who is chasing you?” I asked.

“Bella, what did you do to Mrs Wilson?”

“Nothing, I haven’t seen her in a while. Why do you ask? Is there an urgent meeting?” I got curious.

“She called and wants you to meet I with her without telling Sir Kyle; I am so scared; what if she found out?”
