Fall For Me

Valerie’s POV

The room became awkward the moment Juliet ran off, why was Carson even here? I’ve never seen him watch a movie before. He moved closer to me and I shifted farther away.

“Nickelodeon?” He asked in a mocking tone.

“Yes” I replied defiantly

“Isn’t that childish?” He gave a disapproving look

“No, it’s not” I defended

“Okay, let me watch that with you. Lay on my chest”

“What?” the room went so quiet, I could hear my heartbeat. My pupils widened. Now I was done, I couldn’t sit and watch Nickelodeon with Caralone, I’d go back to my room and leave him to watch what he pleases.

“I’m feeling sleepy already, I’d go to my room” I said as I got up to leave, he caught my hand almost immediately and pulled me to his chest. I couldn’t hold back the scream that left my mouth, I was so shocked.

“Shhh!” He smiled as he held me right to his chest.

“Let go of me” I struggled, beating his chest continually, he held my hand with his right hand and caressed it slowly.

For a moment, time stood still and we were lost in each other’s eyes. I sneezed to halt the stare, I lowered my gaze and placed my head on his chest gently as he wouldn’t let me go.

“I don’t bite, yea?” He commented and I ignored. Carson’s chest was perfect for laying on and his cologne was so nice, I wish I could lay on him forever.

I woke on my bed the next morning, Carson was not by my side. “Was last night a dream?” I dragged myself out of bed sluggish. This house was driving me crazy already

“Good morning Valerie” Juliet greeted as I came out of the bathroom.

“Hey Juliet, you left me all by myself yesterday” I replied with a stern face as I move towards her.

“I’m sorry Valerie, I couldn’t disobey the boss besides you had good company” She murmured the last words under her breath.

“You are so rebellious” I walked to my bed with my bathing robe.

“Ain’t you going to get dressed?”

“Yea, I will but what’s the hurry?”

“Your…” She started but I cut in before she could make a full sentence. “Where’s Carson?”

“Awwn, look who is craving Carson’s presence huh!” She teased

“I’m not craving his presence. Just that, I slept in the couch yesterday and woke up in my bed”

“So?”

“What do you mean so?”

“It’s no news, this isn’t the first time Boss Carson is tucking you in bed so what do you want to say to him?”

“I just want to… forget it, you’re bent on misunderstanding me”

“I’m sorry” She stiffled a smile.

“Silly girl, pass me a dress from the wardrobe”

“By the way, your sisters are waiting for you downstairs”

“My what? My sisters? How? Carson agreed to my request?”

“Yes, he invited your sisters over. He gave then the permission to visit you as they want to.” I got dressed up quickly and hurried downstairs.

“Valerie!” Carmen called out as I ran into her arms.

“I’ve missed you” I cried in her arms.

“So where’s my hug as well?” Gwen commented.

“Gwen! I’ve missed you guys” I hugged Gwen as well.

“Please sit down”. My heart was leaping with so much excitement, I was confused on where to start our conversation from.

“What would you like to take guys?”

“Fruit juice is fine with me” Carmen replied

“I’d love to have wine. I heard Carson runs the PR for Luz wines-one of the biggest wine brands in UK, I’ve been looking forward to tasting their wine. I heard it’s produced in Mexico.” Gwen narrated, licking her lips.

“I’ve never really explored Carson’s bar so I don’t really know if there is any wine you’d like”

“You don’t know your husband’s posession?” Gwen asked

“He is not my husband!” I defended

“Your captor?”

“Gwen stop it!” Carmen commanded

“Juliet, please get me some fruit juice, a bottle of Luz wine and 3 glasses” I ordered. Juliet went for it almost immediately.

“How have you been?” Carmen asked subtly, caressing my face lovingly with a tear in her eyes.

“I’m coping. Is this how it’ll be forever? Can’t we report to the police or something? Am I going to be a prisoner forever?” I broke down in tears in the middle of the statement.

“Come on Valerie, stop being dramatic. You love it here” Gwen chipped in harshly

“I don’t, I want to be with you guys, I want to see Andrew. I miss him”

Juliet arrived with our order and placed it on a stool in front of us.

“Valerie, breakfast is ready. We have Yorkshire pudding and roasted beef”

“Okay, thanks. We’d come to the dinning soon” I replied before Juliet left.

“Why does she call you by name? You are the boss’ woman” Gwen complained immediately Juliet left.

“I asked her to. And she’s the only friend I’ve got in this house”

“A maid?” Gwen asked

“Yea, so?” I replied.

“I’d kill to be in your position right now”

“Seriously Gwen, stop it!” Carmen ordered.

Gwen has always been materialistic but I didn’t think it was to this length. She would rather be kidnapped and locked up in a mansion by a stranger than live a free life and find her true love.

“Breakfast is on the dinning Valerie” Juliet announced.

“Guys, let’s head to the dinning” I invited them. Food was good distraction from Gwen annoying attitude.

“Wow! I really love this view” Gwen commented as she stepped into the dining, her eyes flickered around the entire space.

“How does Carson treat you” Carmen asked

“He’s not bad, he’s domineering and locking me up here is really suffocating but asides that he tries to be nice to me” I replied

“He took it from me, he didn’t want me doing anything stupid like dragging him online or calling for help”

“I’m so sorry love, I wish I could help. I wish I had to go through this instead of you, you still have you life ahead of you, your career, your love… Should I plead with him to let you go” Carmen said as she caressed my back softly. We stood in the dining room, a sad tune playing in our heads.

“No, he wouldn’t accept that, he’s obsessed with me. He might get angry and never allow you come over again” I nodded in disagreement.

“Can I sleep over?” Gwen broke into the discussion. We turned to her immediately with shocked faces. I was speechless for a while.
