“What the hell is your problem Anne? You will suddenly barge into my office and then call my girlfriend a cheater!”

Anne flinched by my boyfriend’s sudden outburst. But I think I know why Anne is acting like this.

“Did something happen?” I asked Anne, ignoring my boyfriend’s sudden outburst.

“Stop playing dumb Alli! I had enough of that already!” She said when she recovered from her shock.

“I’m not playing dumb, okay?! I am asking you so that we can understand why you are accusing me of being a cheater.” I calmly explained.

She smirked. “Are you sure you want me to tell it in front of Andrew?”

I nodded innocently. “Of course, especially now that you are accusing me of cheating.”

Anne picked up her phone and she lessens the brightness of it to show me some pictures taken by someone. And I’m sure that it was the paparazzi hired by Liam’s mom.

After she showed me the photos, she then gave her phone to Andrew to show him the photos.

“Did they leak the photos on the media already? Is there any news about me and Liam?” I asked a bit concerned.

“Are you for real?! You are more concerned about media than explaining to us about this picture?!” Anne said in disbelief.

My forehead creased. “As far as I’m concerned, I don’t owe you any explanation about those pictures.”

Anne was taken aback. “W-what about Andrew?” She asked instead.

I bit my lower lips to keep myself from smiling. Anne’s reaction is so obvious. She still has feelings for Liam.

“Andrew was aware of all those meetings. He knew all my schedule here in the US.” I just said.

“What about your date with Liam?” She insisted.

“It’s not a date okay?! It’s a lunch meeting. All our topics are about our agendas here in the US.” I explained.

“Are you sure?” She asked to confirm.

I rolled my eyes. “Anne, please just answer my question. Did his family leak those pictures to the media already?”

Anne shook her head. “Not yet. But I’m sure they will. They are just waiting for the perfect timing.” She said quietly.

I nodded. “As long as they will not leak those photos before the launched of my magazine, then it’s good,” I said a bit relieved.

“Are you done now with all your questions, Anne? Can I talk now to my girlfriend?” Andrew asked a bit annoyed.

I glared at him on the screen. He’s being a snob with Anne. I’m sure Anne is a bit confused about Andrew’s sudden change of treatment to her. It’s so freaking obvious. Andrew is a very transparent person. You will know if he likes you or not because he will not fail to show it to you. That’s why he is not really fit to join showbiz. He can’t deal with plastic people.

If it’s not for me, Andrew will already quit his showbiz career. I was the one who keeps telling him to postpone it. I still want to enjoy Andrew as a singer and I want to witness him at his concert.

“Baby stop treating Anne that way,” I said as soon as Anne left his office.

“What?! I’m not doing anything.” He said while avoiding my gaze.

I rolled my eyes. “You are not really fit in this business. You don’t know how to hide your emotion.” I joked.

“You know that I don’t have any plans to join this industry. I just had no choice because I don’t want you to forget me and I want to be close to your world.” He said sincerely.

My heart softens after hearing those words from him. This guy is effortlessly sweet.

“Just wait for a little longer my love. We need to prepare your fans for your retirement from showbiz.”

After my video call with the love of my life, I went to the bathroom to take a shower and prepare for my special date with special someone.

I was done with my makeup when my phone rang.

“Hello?”

“Are you done? Do you want me to fetch you?”

“No need to fetch me here. I’ll just see you at our meeting place.”

“Fine. I’ll wait for you, my Star.”

One last look at the mirror and I’m ready to go. Liam is not with me today. He told me that he needs to meet some of his friends before he goes back to the Philippines. If I’m not mistaken those are his potential investor with his other business.

I went first to the Stellar office to check and give instructions to my people. We will be very busy in the coming days, especially after my business with Liam.

“You are here, finally! I miss you, my star!”

“I miss you too, Noah!” I said while receiving a warm hug from him.

Noah wanted to meet me as soon as he heard that I will be back here. But I told him to wait for a few more days because there are things that I need to finish.

“What’s up? Care to explain to me why are you staying in a hotel when you have your apartment here?” Noah said as we started eating our meal.

We decided to meet in his restaurant in the VIP room. I need to avoid media as much as possible since we want people to think that Liam and I have a special relationship.

“It’s a long story. Remember my friend, Anne?”

“Oh, you are friends with her? I thought you guys are enemies?!” He said sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes. I forgot to tell him about Liam and Anne. That is why he was confused when he heard that I’m staying in a hotel. I told her about my meeting with Liam, Anne’s past with him, and his deal with me.

Noah was so patient in listening to my story about those two.

“So you want to play cupid now?” He said.

I rolled my eyes. “I’m not playing cupid, okay?! I just want to help Anne to re-direct her career. If you just saw her past designs, you will understand why I am doing this. She has great potential here in the fashion industry. “I get your point. But is she worth it? I mean after all the deception she has done to you and your friends?!” He asked.

I look straight into his eyes, he looks so concerned about this. I know that Noah is very protective of me and I understand why he is a bit uneasy with all these things.

“Every person is worth it. People make mistakes or wrong decisions, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve help or a second chance in life.”

“That is the reason why I keep on loving you, my star. Your heart is so pure and always sees the good in people.”

I smiled at him and mouthed him “I love you, too.”
