Found Again

“I heard from Andrew that you are behind all this.”

Anne was the one who broke the silence. We are in the lounge for almost thirty minutes but no one is talking. Andrew left after Anne and I settle in the lounge area.

Andrew hasn’t shared with me what happened during his talk with Anne. I was hoping the whole day that he will share it with me, but it didn’t come. I guess this is the reason why he did not share anything with me yet.

“What do you mean?” I asked so she can elaborate.

“You found out the truth about my past, and you plan all this to help me.” Anne’s voice began to break.

She looks at me, biting her lips to stop herself from sobbing. “Thank you, Alli,” She said then she began to sob.

I went near her to hug and comfort her.

“I’m sorry for all the things I did to you. I even tried to ruin your relationship with Andrew. I am the worst person in the world.” She said while sobbing.

I hug her tighter and caress her back. “I understand. You are hurt that is why you got lost. I am also at fault.” I confessed to her.

She breaks from my hug and looks at me with full confusion. I touch her face and wipe her tears.

“I failed to know you deeper.” I just said.

She shakes her head. “No, it’s not your fault. I intentionally hide it from everyone.”

“I know. But if I just try harder to know you more, then maybe you will open your heart to me. But I was too insecure and jealous of you.” I finally confessed what I’d been hiding even to myself.

“What do you mean? You’ve got nothing to get jealous of!” She said a bit shocked.

“I know, but no matter how hard I try to stop myself from getting jealous of you and Andrew, I just can’t. Deep inside I feel like you guys are closer and look good together. And you are special to him. Maybe I’m just being selfish. I just want Andrew’s attention all to myself. That’s why when I saw you two kiss, my little confidence in Andrew’s love for me crumble and I finally had a reason to release this hidden jealousy that I have for the both of you.” I explained to her.

“It’s not your fault. Andrew’s special treatment of me was because I deceived him. He taught that I was their savior when they are in grade school.” She confessed.

I nodded. “I heard that story from him. But still, it’s wrong for me not to trust the love that Andrew has given me. It’s wrong that I just let my jealousy dominate me. And because of that, I fail to protect our friendship. I didn’t know you are going through so much. I should have comforted you, but I also added pain to you. I’m sorry, Anne.” Tears began to fall.

Anne hug me and said that it was okay.

“This is your time now, Anne. Restart your new life. Pursue your dream. We are right behind you. I will block the people who will try to sabotage you. I will never let them succeed. I will use all my connections for you to succeed. You are a great designer. I saw all your past designs and they are all masterpieces. I am rooting for you! I will surely feature your works in my magazine.” I promised her.

“Thank you, Alli! Thank you so much.” She said while we were both sobbing.

I had a good sleep. My heart feels so light. I’m glad that I had a chance to talk to Anne. I feel like, our friends are getting better. I sincerely hope that we can be good friends like before but this time we know better.

“Don’t check the Twitter.” Iya went to my office to warn me.

“You made me more curious when you say that,” I said while chuckling.

I check Twitter and went straight to the trending list. And now I understand why she was trying to stop me from checking Twitter.

“I told you not to check it!” She said when she saw me checking it on my phone.

“You don’t need to worry about these things. We experienced the worst yesterday.” I said then I told her what happen when we are about to leave the mall.

“That Belle is an enabler! She didn’t do anything to stop her fans from blushing. She even posted on her Instagram that she was feeling betrayed and heartbroken. Though she did not mention you nor Andrew, all her fans assume that it was because of you and Andrew.” Iya said angrily.

“That’s showbiz. They need it for clout.” I said like it was nothing.

“I will tell Vince not to renew her contract with them! I heard that her contract will expire this month!” Iya said.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

“Don’t be childish!” I said to stop her.

“I’m not childish! I just don’t want Vince to handle star like that.” She reasoned out.

“Oh, so you are acting now as the CEO’s wife,” I said to tease her.

Iya blushed. She fake a cough and started to change the topic. I just laughed.

Today is the much-awaited interview with Mr. Ricky Abunda.

“Here with me is the hottest and most controversial couple of the year. They both dominate their respective platforms. Let’s all welcome, Mr. Andrew Lopez and Ms. Allison Alonzo.” The host’s opening spiels.

“Thank you very much for choosing me to have this exclusive interview with both of you.” The host said.

“We don’t have a choice. You were the one who exposed our relationship, which I am so grateful for.” Andrew said in a teasing voice.

We all chuckled. People might think that we are scared now that our relationship was revealed but it’s the opposite.

“How long have you been together?” The host asked.

“We are together for three years now,” Andrew said.

Mr. Abunda’s eyes widen. “You are together for that long? But Ms. Alli lived in the US for 2 years. And I think she was linked to Noah.” He can’t help but fry.

“Noah and I were best friends. What we have is purely platonic. And yes, I lived in the US for 2 years because of the opportunity that the US has given me. And Andrew was patient enough to wait for me.” I said not to tell them all the details because Andrew and I agreed not to give them the details about our past. It’s not for them to know.

“Mr. Andrew is a known businessman. But what made you decide to join showbiz?”

“It was because of Alli. She’s been in the US for too long and I need to give her a reason to go back because she was enjoying the US too much.” Andrew just said.

“Did he succeed, Ms. Alli?” The host then asked.

“Not really. It was my parents who asked me to go home.” I said while chuckling.

Andrew just pout his lips. People from the studio laughed.

The interview goes on, and we answered his question discreetly as possible.

“I heard that Mr. Andrew has something to announce. The floor is yours.”

Andrew smiled at him and turned at the camera. “As you all know, I am the CEO of Lopez group of companies and even have a company of my own. I only join showbiz for my girlfriend because I want her here with me. And I think this career already served its purpose. Now, that my relationship with Allie is already made public, I think it’s time for me to announce my retirement in showbiz.”

I already enjoy enough of Andrew’s singer era and we are both ready for him to retire from his showbiz career.
