Rachel was still fuming with anger, and the way Dylan was defending Lisa only fueled her temper.

"What do you mean? Are you still obsessed with her?" she snapped.

Dylan looked slightly embarrassed. "No, I just think..."

"Just think she's gentle and delicate and can't resist my anger, is that it?" Rachel interrupted.

Lisa giggled, "Aunt Rachel, look at what you're saying. We're all women here. I'm gentle and delicate,

but aren't you too? Or are you still the same shrew as before?"

"Lisa!" Rachel's voice turned cold, and she slapped Lisa in the face as Dylan tried to step in between

them.

Rachel seemed to have put all her strength into the slap, leaving Lisa momentarily speechless.

"I warn you, you'd better mind your own business, whether it's Dylan or Zane. Stay away from both of

them. Otherwise, even if I go to jail, I won't let you off easy!" Rachel declared.

After Rachel's outburst, Lisa suddenly fell into Dylan's arms, crying, "Dylan, look at how she treats me!

Don't you care? I even aborted a child for you back then!"

Dylan's expression finally changed, and he pushed Lisa away. "Enough!"

It wasn't clear whether he was scolding Lisa or Rachel.

The three of them fell silent, probably reminded of past events that left their faces looking grim.

At that moment, there was a noise at the door.

Yanis turned her gaze toward the entrance.

Zane had returned with his aunt.

His aunt was carrying many groceries, probably just back from shopping.

you here?"

Rachel composed herself. "We... we came back with Yanis."

His aunt didn't ask further and just said, "Then I'll go prepare dinner."

After speaking, she headed to the kitchen.

Zane stood at the entrance, glancing at the three people in the living room with little expression. "I'll go

check on Yanis."

Zane's gaze fell on Yanis, who was still standing at the staircase, but she didn't move.

When he saw Yanis, Zane's steps paused for a moment before he continued upstairs.

Yanis watched him approach but took two steps back.

When Zane reached Yanis, he paused again, then led her into the bedroom without a word.

Once the door was closed, Zane pushed Yanis against it and kissed her passionately.

At first, Yanis resisted, but she eventually surrendered and responded to him.

Just before things escalated, they both calmed down. "Whatever she said, don't believe her. I only have

you," Zane said in a low voice, his chin resting on her shoulder.

Holding onto his clothes, Yanis tightened her grip and then suddenly let go. "Who is she?" she asked,

even though she had already asked Rachel downstairs.

Hearing her question, Zane raised his hand and gently caressed Yanis' lips he had just kissed, his

voice slightly hoarse. "She is my aunt, but she has no blood relation to my mom. She is my maternal

grandfather's daughter from his first love outside the family. When his first love died of illness, he

brought her back and claimed her as his illegitimate child. This led to a big fight with my grandmother,

but eventually, she was accepted due to her obedience and good behavior."

But later, there were many incidents, and most of the relatives from the Bush family were those who

couldn't bear to see others do well.

Added to that, both the Old Mr. Bush and the Old Mrs. Bush were proud, and they gradually severed

ties with relatives and friends.
