Love At The Wrong Table

Love at the 1856

The Power of the Sun Stone

Seeing the greedy and obsessive look in her eyes, Emmanuel realized that

this woman wasn’t just trying to incite his greed to lure him into joining the

Airspace Group. It seemed more like she was painting a picture of her own

dream, a blueprint of what she envisioned. Her eyes were glowing–she truly

believed that day would come.

Whoosh!

Emmanuel didn’t waste any time and launched an attack with his fists,

making his intentions clear. He couldn’t allow Freya to keep stalling for time. NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

Dragon–Breaking Palm, Twelfth Strike!

Now, Emmanuel could unleash sixteen of the Dragon–Breaking Palm strikes, with only the final strike eluding him. The Twelfth Strike was powerful enough to shatter mountains and split rocks, and anyone who could withstand it had to be at the level of a war god. However, despite having suffered a heavy blow earlier, Freya confronted him head–on again.

Their palms collided with a loud snap, but the result was entirely different

from before. Emmanuel was completely overpowered in terms of strength.

The immense recoil sent him flying backward, crashing through the sturdy

wall behind him, blood spurting from his mouth. In contrast, Freya, though

physically weaker, only staggered back into a chair, relatively unscathed.

With her hands behind her, she greedily absorbed the power transmitted

from the Heart of the Sun through the device, and after recovering, she

smirked with satisfaction. “Emmanuel, are you surprised? Didn’t see that

coming, did you?”

Emmanuel remained silent, quickly working to regulate his breath. He never

imagined that his move could be so easily countered.

“Do you know why I had Yasmine go to such lengths to lure you here? It’s

because we’ve studied your physical attributes–you’re a one–in–a–million

ultimate Airspace fighter.” Freya continued her temptation. “If you agree to serve the Airspace Group, I can grant you the power of the Heart of the Sun. Your strength would be ten, even a hundred times greater than at your peak! There will be no one in the world you can’t kill, nothing you can’t destroy. You

would become the Holy Trinity’s ultimate weapon, the key to establishing our

holy nation, forever remembered in history!”

“I’d be d*mned to believe you!” Emmanuel cut off her near–manic ravings

coldly, scornfully asking, “Do you even realize how many people would die in

such a war? How many would be displaced and left to wander?”

These questions left the Queen silent, her demeanor shifting from anger to

growing impatience.

“The Holy Trinity might seem progressive, but in reality, you’re clinging to the

laughable idea of feudal monarchy! What era do you think this is?”

Emmanuel mocked. “Since the advent of nuclear weapons, there’s no longer

any winner in war. Once conflict erupts, it will only lead to mutual destruction.”

“What do you know?” Freya snapped back, her anger boiling over. “Do you

really think nuclear weapons are so easily deployed? With the Heart of the

Sun, we can cultivate countless assassins with unimaginable power. Those who submit to us will thrive, and those who resist will perish. We can secretly control every nation, destroy all their technology-”

“Enough!” Emmanuel cut her off sharply. “I didn’t come here to debate with

you. I came to defeat you, destroy your plans, and restore everyone’s

freedom!”

With a thunderous roar, Emmanuel unleashed another strike–the

Dragon–Breaking Palm, Thirteenth Strike!

Even Yasmine couldn’t help but admire Emmanuel. Normal people grew

weaker as they sustained injuries, but this man was the exact opposite–the

more blood he lost, the more terrifying his power became. Unfortunately, this

was Freya’s domain. As long as the secret lab on the fifth floor remained

intact, she could absorb an endless supply of power. No matter how many

times Emmanuel attacked, the result would be the same.

Bam!

The two clashed fiercely again, and Emmanuel was once again sent flying,

the backlash growing stronger as his power intensified.

Lying on the ground, Emmanuel coughed up several mouthfuls of blood. His

internal organs were severely shaken, and he was gravely injured. His vision

began to blur, and his eyes dimmed, but his strong will kept him conscious.

He knew now that his strategy was completely wrong.

In the beginning, Freya had engaged in hand–to–hand combat with him, not

because she was a skilled fighter but because her combat abilities were

actually quite low. That first clash wasn’t an intentional deception on her part;

it was an unintentional mistake that had led Emmanuel to believe he could

suppress her with the Dragon–Breaking Palm.
