Chapter 41: Alive and Safe

Ace's POV

I was shocked when I saw that the wall suddenly collapsed again making me think that something

happened to my brother.

But I looked at my side and saw Tobios looking at me while pointing his hands above me. I was

surprised that he helped me. I immediately snap back in thoughts and I nod my head at him.

I was caught off guard by the explosion that I didn’t react immediately and I was thankful that Tobios

was there to blast the falling debris above me or else I might have already been harmed.

(I guess he was the one who released that attack since-- of course he was pointing his hands at it) I

thought while laughing at myself.

I suddenly looked up again when I sensed something and I was right. Another explosion happened

again and this time it will fall on me but rather at their place so I warned them immediately.

"JUMP, SOMETHING IS GOING TO FALL ABOVE YOU I" shouted and they immediately look up and

then jumped away and landed beside me.

"What is happening up there? Sir Tanner" said in confusion just as we all are.

"Are we really being under attacked?" I said and look at him but he shakes his head.

"I don't think so..... they didn't tell me anything that we are being under attack though I think that this is

(I hope that both of you are okay) I prayed while I looked around in still disbelief that this is happening.

We were all confused when we looked again up and saw that another hole was created just a little bit

beside the other hole making really get confused and eye at it.

Suddenly I saw a person emerging at the opening of the hole making me eye it carefully.

"Is it an enemy or not" I mumble while I started to prepare and fight in case its really an enemy.

But when I looked at the person, I was suddenly relieved and happy when I recognized who is up there.

"Isn't that the girl that he was talking about?" I heard the person beside me say but I just ignored it

since the only thing on my mind is that they are safe now.

I really felt relieved that a thon is suddenly removed from my heart.

I immediately waited to see if my brother is okay and he will emerge too beside her but I saw no one

making me get worried and anxious.

"But where is Glen" I heard the person say again making me clench my fist and look down.

"Don't tell me--" I mumble in disbelief when I suddenly something.

"Is that--" I immediately look up and froze when I suddenly saw a body floating just beside her and

horror immediately came all over to my body that it felt like a bucket of water was poured all over me.

Suddenly it felt like the thorn pierced in my heart came back again and it hit me again. It also feels like

the pain doubled and it is really hard to breathe.

"NO this is not true. Why is he floating in the air...." I look down shake my head while sweats are

already forming in my forehead.

(Maybe I'm just hallucinating things or not that is not him but another student-- right) I said to myself in

my head while trying to convince myself that this is not true and just a lie.

But when I look up it is still the same. Glen is floating in the air while Kaylee is standing next to him.

(It is real. His really is floating. But why...) I look at the Kaylee and she was looking at what is

happening outside and she was in shock which is evident in her face.

Suddenly negative thoughts came to my mind as I still see my brothers floating body in the air.

"I still don’t believe this. No t--his can't h--appen it c--an't" I mumble in shock while looking at the

floating body of Glen.

"KAYLEEE WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BROTHER" I shouted in anger and she immediately got startled

and followed the voice and she looks down at me.

I clenched my fist even more and still not believing what I am seeing but when she looked at me I

suddenly got confused.

She was smiling making me looked at her in confusion.

"Why is she smiling?" I hear him say and I slowly relaxed and look at her seriously.

(If she is smiling.... then I guess Glen is probably okay.... Did he collapse or what--) I thought while she

immediately descended down along with my brother who is floating in the air.

She is confused while looking around and I can see it from her expression but my brother’s status is far

more important than her understanding the situation that we are in.

When she came next to us, I immediately came near Glen and scan his body for any injuries or any

cause why is he not moving.

"He is fine and I already manage to stabilize him but still he needs medical assistance" she said to me

while I feel that my brother is breathing making me ease and look at him softly.

"He’s alive thank goodness. You’re alive" I manage to say when I calmed myself down and as soon as I

saw his breathing face a tear slip in my eyes as I bow down my head in relief.

"I thought that I would lose you" I said and then I looked at Kaylee and smile at her. She was taken

aback by my expression perhaps but I don’t even care how I look since I’m happy that my brother is

okay.

"Thank y--"

"Nope he was the one who save me. He is just unconsciousness" she said and then I pulled her into a

hug when I suddenly saw him starts to cry.

"I'm sorry it was my fault that he--"

"Stop you know that no one is at fault here" I said trying to reassure her that no one is putting a blame

here since who knows what might she be thinking inside her own mind.

She might be trying to put the blame at herself and I don’t want that to happen.

"But if it wasn't for me then he won't--"

"If he hadn't went to help then he will be okay and--"

"And you’ll be sucked into that place and he will blame himself for not helping you" I said to her

seriously making her stop and grip on my clothes tighter.

"No one here blames anyone so let’s go and get him--and you to be treated already" I said to her and

try to comfort her since I know what might have gone through her head when she was attending Glen.

If I was worried when I saw him unconscious and I nearly lose myself then how much more is she who

witnessed it firsthand.

I sighed and continued to comfort her while I stare at my brethren’s unconscious body.

Immediately Sir Tanner and Tobios came near us and they look at the Glen and they were both

shocked.

"How did you manage to get out of the smoke?" Sir Tanner said and I looked at him.

"Sir I think you can just ask them when we can say that they are safe since--" suddenly I felt that

Kaylee collapse so I immediately looked at my brother and saw that he was about to fall on the ground

but suddenly I saw Tobios caught him immediately.

"Can I be the one to carry him?" he asked and I suddenly got a strange feeling about this. I eyed him

first before I suddenly spoke.

"If you are thinking of something bad about my brother then better think twice" I said seriously and he

nods at me.

"I won't " he said making me nod at him.

(Even though I want to be the one to carry him but I already need to carry Kaylee and either way I cant

carry them both in my arms) I honestly said in my mind while we all started moving.

Okay then let’s go and being them to get checked Sir Tanner said and lead the way.

I then carried Kaylee in my arms while Tobios carried Glen as we went to the place Sir Tanner is talking

about.

We manage to get Glen and Kaylee someone to attend them. And now they are already stabilized and

both of them are fine thought they said that if we were late, we might have lost them.

I went next to my brother and I relax when I saw him breathing alive. I sat next to him touch his face in

worry.

"Don't fucking make me worry like that. I know that you like dangerous things but--" I mumble while

looking at him in amusement before I become serious.

"--try to look out for yourself" I mumble and withdraw my hands and then clench it.

(Fuck what would had happen if both of you didn't came out of it earlier--) I was angry at myself while I

bow my head in shame.

I then suddenly feel a presence behind me making me immediately fix myself before turning around

and saw that it was only Tobios.

I was a bit confused as to why is he here so I eyed him. He was looking a little bit hesitant and when he

was about to speak Sir Tanner suddenly came into view and walked to me.

I turn my gaze at Sir as he came next to me.

"Ace I already notified your parents about what happened and your mom is already coming. I need you

to go and get her" Sir said making me look at him and then to my brother.

"Okay" I said and looked at Tobios who is looking down at the floor.

"Can you look after him for a moment?" I said and he immediately looked up at me and was taken a

back what I just said.

"Can you?" I asked again since he didn't answer me. He then looked at Glen before he looked back at

me and nod his head in response.

I went next to him and when I was about to pass him, I put my hands in his shoulders before I move out

of the room completely and went to look for mom since I bet she is already panicking and screaming in

worry.

(I better tell mom immediately about what I felt when I saw Glen coming out of the hole. Even though its

faint but still there is) I thought seriously while I started to walk and went to find my mother.
