Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman

Chapter 2369

Chapter 2369

“Mommy.”

“Mommy is here. You’re such a good boy, Pudding,” Madeline patted his little head lovingly.

“Mommy, isn't Aunt Ava coming to our house today?” Jackson also asked curiously.

Madeline was trying to find an excuse to muddle through this when she heard the familiar footsteps

coming from the entrance. She looked up and saw that Jeremy was back.

Madeline stood up while carrying her youngest son. “ Jeremy, you're back. Any news?”

Jeremy took the little boy from Madeline's arms and kissed him intimately.

“No news yet, but I’ve already found out who kidnapped Ava.”

“Who is it?”

“The kidnapper is just a lazy bum who has a lot of criminal records. In order to make quick money, he'll

do anything.” After that, Jeremy analyzed the situation and said, “I found that he has been receiving a

lot of money in his account recently, and the amount is the same as the money Naya transferred. It

means that Naya must have a deal with this person.” “No, it’s not a guess but the truth,” Madeline

affirmed. “I can't imagine that Naya would do something so outrageous. She’s a highly educated lady

from a rich family, so how can she do such outrageous things?” Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

“For some people, evil is engraved in their bones. Even if they’re highly educated, they still can't hide

the evil in their hearts.”

“But if this is the case, will Ava be in danger?”

“The kidnapper is only after the money, so he won't do anything to Ava until he gets the money.”

“But if he kidnapped Ava according to Naya's instructions and Naya gave him enough money, he’ll

listen to Naya’s demands. He might take action against Ava.” Thinking of this, Madeline became more

anxious and worried.

Jeremy grabbed Madeline's shoulders, gently soothing her nervous and anxious emotions. “If Naya

wanted to get rid of Ava, why did the kidnapper ask for ransom?”

After Jeremy’s reminder, Madeline felt less tense at once.

That was right. If Naya had asked this man to kidnap Ava, why would she take the extra step to contact

them and ask for money?

Naya could directly kill Ava, so what was going on? Madeline fell asleep worrying. When she woke up

the next day, she found that Jeremy had already gone out. He was actively following up on Ava's

kidnapping. Madeline was not idle either. After breakfast, she sent her son to school first.

On the way back, Madeline felt a little uneasy for some reason. She parked the car in the parking lot

beside the road and opened the photo gallery on her mobile phone.

There were some old photos of Ava and her on her phone. As she was looking at these photos,

Madeline's heart tightened.

“Ava, please be safe.”

Madeline prayed silently, then the sudden ringing of her phone brought her thoughts back.

After seeing the caller ID, Madeline hesitated for a while before picking up the call.

She could hear Raegan’s polite greeting. “Mrs. Whitman, sorry for disturbing you. I heard that Ava took

Dan to see her dad yesterday. I called Ava several times but can’t get through to her. Is she with you?”

Madeline wanted to inform her of Ava’s current situation, but this would only cause one more person to

worry. Hence, she prevaricated.

“Ava has been staying in my house these days. I think she’s in a bad mood, so she didn't turn on her

phone. But don't worry, Ava is fine.”

After hearing Madeline's answer, Raegan did not ask any further questions and hung up the phone at

ease. Madeline was also relieved. She put down her phone and was about to drive when she suddenly

heard a knock on her car window.
