Purchased A Mr. Right

Chapter 1970

Chapter 1970

...

Mia avoided his gaze. "In the self-study room, my phone is muted."

Her eyelashes fluttered unnaturally- she was not good at lying.

In fact, she didn't want to answer his call.

She was afraid that he called to ask about her abnormal behavior. After all, she didn't think she had the right to question him about that.

Desmond, 1.85 meters tall, stood timidly in front of her like a scared child who had done something wrong. He asked carefully, "Did you hear my conversation with Tina last night?"

Mia paused and nodded. "Yes."

She explained, "I didn't mean to eavesdrop. I happened to hear you after going to the bathroom..."

"We were joking!" Desmond hurriedly said.

Mia looked at him in silence.

Desmond impatiently grabbed a handful of curly hair from his head and put on a severe expression.

"It's not a joke. I indeed liked Tina. I admit it." Desmond said earnestly, "But it was all in the past. I no longer liked her before we got married, and I won't like her anymore in the future. For me, she's a friend and my cousin-in-law!"

Desmond told her how he got to know Tina and wanted to win her heart to provoke Wilson.

He told her many humiliating things to show his loyalty, including how he once regarded Abby as his goddess.

He didn't want her to misunderstand and wanted her to know that everything was in the past.

Everyone had unbearable memories.

Desmond dared to speak out his bitter old memories because all of this was no longer important for him.

Mia was immediately relieved.

She believed in him.

She kept silent for a few seconds before saying in a muffled voice, "Desmond, I don't want to make rice porridge anymore."

Upon hearing the conversation between Desmond and Tina by accident, she recalled their conversation about rice porridge before the meal and vaguely figured out what was going on.

"Sure, sure!" Desmond immediately said, "Do whatever you want. I'll eat whatever you cook, even the pig feed. Is that alright?"

Mia burst into laughter.

She said softly, "That's for pigs. I won't cook it."

When Desmond saw her smile, he was suddenly enlightened. She looked as beautiful and delightful as a tree in bloom under the sun.

They had a meal at a restaurant, and Desmond sent her back to school.

This time, Desmond parked his car in front of the school gate.

They walked along the shady path and passed by many students with books in their arms.

Also, there were many couples in love like them.

In a corner not far away, a couple who were reluctant to part with each other were kissed each other before saying goodbye.

Desmond retracted his gaze.

Mia, beside him, pointed forward and said, "The teaching building is there. I'm going in. Be careful on the way!"

Desmond pulled her back. "Wait."

Mia was puzzled.

She looked over and heard him say, "Give me a kiss before you leave."

"No!" Mia was embarrassed. "There are so many people here..." Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

Desmond took her hand and walked to a lush tree. He pressed her against the tree with a mischievous smile. "Can we do it now? No one will see us here."

The shade of the tree hid them in darkness.

She looked around and said in a low voice, "Just a brief kiss please."

Desmond was overwhelmed by his cute wife.

Cupping her face, he couldn't wait to kiss her.

Her lips were so soft and sweet.

He was willing to stop even after a few kisses.

At the last minute before the class, Mia finally managed to get into the classroom. As soon as she sat down, the professor stood on the podium and was ready to call the roll.

Aubree was still sitting next to her.

Seeing Mia panting with a smile, she came over and asked, "Have you reconciled with your husband?"

Mia was embarrassed.

She didn't know how to explain it. In fact, they were not quarreling.

Aubree continued, "I just saw you two kissing under a big tree!"

Mia blushed in silence.

In the evening, Desmond returned a little later than before.

Mia, waiting for him to have dinner, saw his gloomy face.

Desmond explained weakly, "I went to grandpa's place, and he criticized me again. He told me that we had a quarrel recently and told me not to bully you. He scolded me for an hour!"

Mia said, "Take a rest first."

He tsked. "That's odd. He can't read people's minds, can he? Perhaps, he has installed some cameras here!"

Hearing that, Sabine left the restaurant silently.

...

Friday was a sunny day.

When Mia was brushing her teeth in front of the mirror in the morning, a message came.

Lyle sent her a picture.

When she opened it, she saw two concert tickets and two air tickets.

Lyle said, "I've got the tickets to Josiah's concert. Let's go together to cheer for him!"

Mia frowned as she stared at the time on the air ticket.

"Are we leaving tonight?" She asked.

Lyle replied, "Yes, our flight is in the evening. We have to go there to get prepared one day in advance. Maybe we can also see the rehearsal. Then, the next day, we'll go to the concert. That'll be perfect!"

Mia said, "But I haven't told Desmond yet..."

Lyle offered her a friendly suggestion. "You'd better go and support Josiah secretly. Don't tell him."

In the end, she gave her a serious emoji.

Mia had complained that Desmond interrupted so that she didn't get Josiah's special signature. At that time, Lyle knew Desmond was jealous.

Mia was in a dilemma.

She didn't know that Desmond was jealous, but she remembered that Desmond didn't seem to like Josiah very much back in the company. In the end, he was so stingy that he didn't even let her get Josiah's autograph.

After washing up, Mia walked into the locker room.

Desmond had already changed his clothes. He kept a low profile today and was dressed in a dark purple suit. However, he wore a loose silver T-shirt with a round collar, his collarbone exposed. He gave off a decadent aura of nobility.

Mia saw a suitcase beside him.

Huh?

Mia asked, "Are you going on a business trip?"

Desmond nodded. "Yes, I have a temporary job and need to go to Shanghy City. It will take about three days or so. It's a flight in the afternoon. I'm afraid I won't be able to get home to get the luggage, so I'll take it with me and go straight to the airport from the company."

Mia's eyes lit up.

She looked down at the suitcase, thinking fast.

If he was away on a business trip, then she didn't have to tell him that she would attend Josiah's concert at all.

Everything went so smoothly.

Seeing that she kept her head down and didn't say anything, Desmond thought she wasn't willing to part with him.

He couldn't help feeling proud and happy.

He was also a little proud.

Seeing his little, bashful wife, he wanted to comfort her, telling her that he would come back soon.

Desmond raised his brows.

Just as he was about to speak, Mia looked up and asked with a bright smile, "Do you want me to pack your luggage?"

Desmond was disappointedly taken aback.

...

In the evening, Mia and Josiah met at the entrance of the airport lobby.

They brought little luggage- each of them carried only a backpack with clean clothes, cameras, and items to celebrate at the concert.

Thinking of going to the concert, Mia was very excited.

But she forgot that too great pleasure might bring about sadness.
