Salute To The General

Chapter 3033

With how weak Nathan was at the moment, he couldn't help Hermes and the others up.

As such, he could only say hurriedly, "Please get up. You are all my seniors. I couldn't possibly have you all kneel before me, a junior."

Hearing that, the crowd got to their feet.

Nathan continued, "Lothar's internal organs have been crushed, and there is no doubt that he will die. This meant that you have all been avenged. We should get ready to leave as this is not a place to stay for long."

Everyone at the scene was an elite from various parts of the world. After bidding goodbye to Nathan, they told him that they owed him a favor. Should he ever need help, he only needed to say it, and they would rush over to offer up their assistance.

Soon after, everyone took their leave.

It wasn't long before the only ones left at the scene were the elites from Eurasia such as Hermes, Blood Sea Devil, Master of Mount Belyy, and several others.

Because Hermes and the others were heading back to Eurasia, they volunteered to escort the injured Nathan, promising to protect him on their journey.

Nathan responded, "Thank you for your kindness. Now that Heavenly City has been razed to the ground, it won't take long for Ariarica's military forces to arrive here. It's best if we leave soon."

"Okay. We'll escort you back, Mr. Cross."

With everyone protecting Nathan, they soon left Heavenly City.Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

Meanwhile, in the deepest part of Doom Canyon, a burly figure could be seen moving quickly with Lothar on his back.

When he finally stopped, he lowered Lothar slowly onto a large flat stone.

At the moment, Lothar's life was hanging by a thread. With hints of gratitude showing on his face, he looked up at the man before him and uttered weakly, "Here I was wondering who it was that saved me. Turns out it's you, Admiral Max."

Indeed, the person in front of Lothar was none other than Max.

Recently, Max had been lying low as he had not shown himself in public, nor had he been yelling for Eurasia's downfall in the news.

As for the reason why, it wasn't because he was afraid of Nathan.

Instead, it was because he was having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that he was now a vampire.

After two months, however, he was fully accustomed to his new identity.

In fact, he started to feel that there was nothing wrong with being a vampire.

Not only do I have a stronger physique and a longer life span, but I am also able to strengthen myself through various new ways. The only downside to this is that I will have to consume another's blood to sustain my life. Apart from that, direct exposure to the sun will make me uncomfortable, while a longer exposure will burn my skin. But other than that, I think it's all good.

After gradually adapting to his new identity, the first thing that came to Max's mind was to fulfill his life-long dream of finishing Nathan off.

After all, he wouldn't have become a vampire if it wasn't for Nathan.

Max looked at the dying Lothar and asked calmly, "Mr. Macmaster, can you still hold on?"

Lothar flashed a wry smile. "My bones have been broken and my insides crushed. There's nothing I can do about my injuries. Just leave me here, Admiral Max, and gather your men to kill Nathan."

When Max was carrying Lothar on his back earlier, he had checked the latter's condition discreetly and found that the man was indeed grievously injured.

What he found out was basically in line with what Lothar had just said.

Nheless, Max kept his guard up. As he crouched down, he said quietly, "Let me check your injuries for you."

Upon saying that, he placed his hand

on Lothar's injuries and examined them. After a moment, he narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "It seems

that you were telling the truth. You are truly on the brink of death"

Although what Max said was true and Lothar, too, was aware that he was dying, he still felt bitter to hear the former's words. At the same time, he could vaguely sense that something was off with Max.

Why do I feel like he's relieved to know that I'm dying?

P.n

Just when Lothar was feeling puzzled by Max's attitude, he was suddenly made aware of how pale the latter's face was. Apart from that, he could see four long fangs gleaming in Max's mouth when he sneered.

He's a vampire!

Shock filled Lothar's eyes as he spluttered, "Max, you'
