The Billionaire's Regret

Chapter 165

Chapter 165

Ivy desired to return home and pack her belongings while simultaneously informing her father and brothers of the situation. Wyatt immediately instructed Ken to initiate discharge procedures for him to rest and recover at home. His injured self was, even more, brimming with vitality than usual. Ken completed the discharge procedures and arranged for someone to clean the Hudson Yards residence. Wyatt rolled around the house in his wheelchair, inspecting its cleanliness. He examined every nook and corner. Rosie, the nanny, was present before the divorce. Wyatt reasoned that Ivy was accustomed to Rosie and thus refrained from dismissing her. Rosie trembled as she met Wyatt’s cold, crucial gaze. “Are the Madam’s items still on the premises?” “Y-yes, they’re all here,” Rosie stammered. “You stated that you would not discard any of Madam’s possessions.” Wyatt satisfied himself with a nod and turned to instruct Ken. “Ask the major brands to send some clothes over and replace all the out-of-season clothing, shoes, and handbags in the dressing room, so she isn’t offended when she sees them.” Ken was speechless as he pondered, ‘I believe you are the one who is upset to see them.’ However, he did not dare to say this aloud and simply nodded in fear. “Understood.” Morgan Mansion. Sebastian was so enraged at Ivy’s mention of this that he nearly leaped to his feet. “No, I object!” Wyatt was clearly up to no good in Sebastian’s eyes! Cooper cast a glance at Ivy. “Are you certain?” Ivy gave a solemn nod. Leo remained silent. He was intimately familiar with his daughter’s personality. Nobody could make her change her mind once she made a decision. “Dad, Cooper, how can you agree so casually?! You’re all such cowardly wretches!”

Sebastian regarded Leo and Cooper with astonishment. Cooper cast a cold glance at Sebastian and said, “Then why don’t you look after Wyatt on Ivy’s behalf?” “In his dreams! If I go there, I’m going to throw him down the stairwell and cripple the other leg as well!” Sebastian was enraged and had the sensation that smoke was rising from his head. Ivy couldn’t stop herself from laughing. “Do not obsess over it. I am not going there in the capacity of a servant. Additionally, Bill will accompany me.” They gave her a thumbs-up as they looked at her with amazement and admiration in their eyes. They were excessively worried. Ivy shrugged carelessly. Wyatt made no mention of being prohibited from bringing a bodyguard. Ivy packed a small suitcase with the intention of returning if she felt uneasy. She had no desire to serve him. Rather than that, Bill lugged a massive suitcase and stood with a grim expression, waiting for Ivy at the door. Ivy was startled and opened her mouth to speak, but she refrained. ‘Perhaps his suitcase is stuffed with weapons?’ Bill was adamant about not explaining. His intuition told him he would not be leaving for a few days, so he prepared for a long-term stay outside and brought everything he needed. In Hudson Yards. Ivy was dressed simply in a light-colored gown. She appeared vivacious and possessed an exceptional temperament. Bill stood imposingly behind her and easily carried two suitcases, emanating an unapproachable aura that kept everyone at a safe distance. Ivy expected to despise it here, but she was indifferent as she stood at the door. Her last visit felt like a lifetime ago. Everything was in the past!

Bill knocked on the door and was immediately greeted by someone. Rosie dashed over and grabbed Ivy’s hand before she could enter. “Madam, you’ve returned! I truly missed you.” Ivy drew her hand back with a trace of disgust in her eyes. Bill took a step forward in the next split second. He is a tall man with a broad body who stands in front of Ivy. His face was stern and foreboding. “Step aside. She is not, in fact, your Madam.” Rosie was taken aback and terrified by Bill’s ferocity and subconsciously took a step backward. “W-Who are you?” Bill had no intention of making an introduction. He pushed the door open and cleared the way for Ivy as he said, “Miss, after you,” in a gruff and loud voice. Ivy entered expressionless, having no intention of reminiscing with the nanny. After all, Rosie was merely a Reed saboteur. Ivy strutted inside, oblivious to the nanny’s shocked and nervous eyes. Her high heels slamming against the hardwood floor made a crisp and pleasant sound. As soon as she entered the living room, Wyatt was sitting in a wheelchair in light gray loungewear. His face retained a sickly pallor, and his facial lines remained defined and cold. His right leg was wrapped in a cast, making him appear frail. Around him, the cold and stern aura was not as aggressive as usual. His eyes glowed when he saw Ivy enter. He clutched the wheelchair’s sides. Even his tone of voice softened and became more restrained. “Ivy, you’ve returned at long last.” Ivy’s lips curled slightly as she cast a casual glance around. For a brief moment, her face became stiff. The furniture and decor remained precisely as they were when she left. Additionally, it was spotless. Ivy averted her gaze and drew her eyes closer together. “I first take my belongings to the guest room.” She then turned around and motioned Bill to proceed upstairs. “Leave that to Rosie.” Wyatt squinted.

How was Ivy able to unpack herself? His perceptive eyes swept over to Rosie, dumbfounded, who stood at the side. Rosie shuddered and rushed over to Bill to retrieve the suitcase. “I will, Madam. Your room has been cleaned, but nothing has changed on the inside.” Bill evaded the nanny and forbade her from touching the suitcase. His ferocious face conveyed a sense of forewarning. The nanny withdrew her hand and cast a subconscious glance at Ivy. Ivy, on the other hand, did not even look at her. She simply gave Wyatt a sidelong glance. “What exactly does that mean?” He desired that she sleep in her previous room? Wyatt pursed his lips and stated softly, “There was no time to clean the guest room, and there are too many of your belongings in your old room, making relocation inconvenient.” Ivy was not interested in arguing over a room. In any case, she would only spend a few months here. Her brows furrowed. “Fine.” Wyatt’s mood improved significantly as a result of her simple concession. His face was painted with a cheerful smile. Ivy ascended, followed by Bill. Rosie spoke cautiously. “Madam…” Ivy came to a halt. Her eyes were cold and indifferent when she turned around. “Wyatt Reed, I’m hoping you’re able to corral your employees. I came here out of mutual respect and a small amount of guilt. If anyone dares to cross the line again, you will simply have to accept your defeat.” ‘Madam? Whom the hell wants to be the Madam of this house?!’ Ivy would not permit them to cross the line repeatedly. Although these words were not directed at Rosie, they had the effect of a slap across her face. Ivy’s words were as cold and merciless as a sharp knife. Wyatt’s face softened slightly, but he quickly recovered and smiled as if nothing had happened.NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.

“All right.” His tone of voice was gentle and pleasant. Wyatt’s gloomy gaze swept over to Rosie the instant Ivy turned around. It was more chilling than Ivy’s earlier words. Rosie trembled in fear as she stood there. ‘Did I say something wrong?’ Ivy used to adore it when people addressed her as Madam. Because no one in the Reed household previously respected Ivy, Rosie used to address her as “Ms. Ivy.” As a result, Ivy had a significant altercation, claiming that Rosie was disrespectful. As a result, Rosie reluctantly addressed her as “Madam” afterward.
