The Billionaire's Regret

Chapter 208

Chapter 208

From Wyatt’s perspective, Ivy was seated while Marco appeared to be proposing to her while kneeling on one knee. Marco’s caring actions as he removed Ivy’s shoes for her made Wyatt feel highly uneasy. They appeared to be a pair in love! Wyatt’s face was icy and repulsive. His eyes were icy as he glared menacingly at Marco. Marco heard Wyatt’s voice, but he put Ivy’s shoes back on and straightened up as if nothing had happened. Ms. Morgan should have someone change her shoes and wait in the lounge on the second floor. Ivy thanked him and stood up without hesitation. She then instructed Sebastian to prepare a new dress and pair of shoes for her. Sebastian was the only person who had any utility here. Ivy did not trust her bodyguard Bill’s fashion sense, after all. As he approached, Wyatt’s expression was icy and unyielding. His eyes were fixed on Marco. Observing others covet his possessions induced possessiveness and a sense of urgency in Wyatt. He was going insane! The man limped while holding a cane, but his gait was icy and commanding. Wyatt’s aura of inherent strength was commanding. Marco did not evade Wyatt’s gaze and stood there with a gentlemanly bearing. His temperament was in no way inferior to Wyatt’s. The two men glared at one another with a fiery, implacable spark. “What were you doing just a moment ago?” Wyatt repeated his statement. His voice was extremely frigid, low, and dark. His gaze landed softly on Ivy’s body, which was wrapped in Marco’s suit jacket. Wyatt found this to be exceptionally penetrating. The man’s gaze flickered ever-so-slightly with restraint and tolerance. Ivy approached. As she approached Wyatt, she paused in her steps and asked in a low voice, “Do we really need to explain what we do to you?” She was dissatisfied with Wyatt’s transgressions.

He must recall his identity. Moreover, if Avery Lamour had committed this act, it was because of Wyatt. If Wyatt had not caused this trouble, Ivy would not have experienced this embarrassing mishap in public. Ivy then went upstairs to await Sebastian’s arrival without regard for Wyatt’s reaction. Wyatt’s visage became gloomier. His gaze also became darker. Marco approached with a faint smile and a neutral expression. “You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot force it to drink. Certain things cannot be forced.” The sharp and icy eyes of Wyatt contracted slightly. “Regardless, the horse is still mine. No one is deserving of touching it.” Instantaneously, the temperature plummeted to the freezing point. The reporters and fans outside were unaware of this confrontation. It would have sparked a new frenzy in the upper-level lounge if they had done so. Sebastian entered the room wearing a new dress and shoes for Ivy. When it came to his troublesome sister, he was speechless, but he was quick to meet her needs. “Fortunately, the sponsors carry your preferred brand, but these are standard issues. Do you always wear custom-made dresses and shoes when you attend these events? Ivy exhaled with relief. She removed Marco’s suit jacket and faced Sebastian with her back. “Look…” Her back zipper was broken, exposing a substantial portion of her seductive back. However, she had a large blemish on her back. This dress was not designed to be backless, so it was somewhat ill-fitting despite her attractive back. Ivy had worked with her preferred brand for many years, so they would not make such an elementary error. Sebastian appeared shocked and furrowed his brows. “Holy crap! Who is to blame? Henry can’t even perform his duties?!” He was furious because he knew that this action was deliberate. Ivy picked up the clothing he discarded and entered the room. “It isn’t Henry. It’s another person.” “Then who? I will defeat them!” Sebastian was furious because someone dared to bully his younger sister.

Ivy chuckled softly and shut the door. “I’ll handle it myself. You may proceed first.” Sebastian walked away enraged. Ivy donned a long, black dress. She appeared regal and distant. The brand and style of high heels were also her favorites. She exhaled a sigh of relief and recalled what had just transpired. She picked up the telephone and dialed Bill’s number. “Inform Avery Lamour to show up.” “Yes, Miss,” replied Bill. Ivy breathed deeply. As soon as she exited the room, she saw Demi, Sebastian’s assistant, standing at the door. “Sebastian was concerned about Ms. Morgan being alone and asked me to accompany you tonight.” Ivy agreed because she was already short on staff. She grinned. “Great! Wait for Ms. Lamour here; I’ll be up shortly. I wish to communicate with her.” She nodded. Do not fret, Ms. Morgan. “The time is almost up, so I’ll head downstairs first.” Ivy smiled subtly and descended the stairs. She was not the type to tolerate unreasonable people. The theater’s lighting arrangements were complete. There was only one empty seat between Wyatt and Marco in the front row. Ivy stopped in her tracks. Excellent, what a cramped seating arrangement! During Ivy’s hesitation, Marco noticed her and waved, prompting her to walk over and take a seat. Wyatt’s gaze remained unmoved, and he did not greet her gently as he usually would. He appeared to be still angry about what occurred earlier. The goddess Ivy exhaled a sigh of relief. ‘Awesome!’ Marco smiled and stated in a low voice, “Sebastian is incredibly alluring. The entire audience turned out for him.” Ivy was ecstatic to hear her brother praised, but she maintained her modesty. My brother is attractive, behaves well, and has a pleasant personality. Marco’s mouth contracted the corners, and he nodded in approval as his smile widened.

Wyatt, who was on the opposite side of Ivy, was silent. His expression grew increasingly glum. The final scene in the act concluded. The assistant presented me with three cups of coffee. Marco gave it to Ivy, who in turn gave it to Wyatt. Wyatt froze for a fraction of a second. His expression softened as he reached for it. Before he could steady the cup, it leaked in the following instant. Coffee was spilled on his clothing. Wyatt furrowed his brows. When Wyatt stood up, the assistant was quicker and seized his cane. “I apologize, Mr. Reed.” Wyatt gave the assistant a stern look before grabbing his cane and turning his attention to Ivy. “I’m going to change my clothes first.” Ivy nodded and reseated herself. The assistant appeared vaguely familiar. Ivy stood up and quietly exited the hallway shortly after Wyatt’s departure. In the lounge, Jimmy informed Wyatt of his room number. Wyatt exited the elevator and located the room. When he entered, the interior was dark. He turned on the lights and noticed a woman’s purse and dress on the large, plush sofa. His eyes were icy and resolute. In the following instant, the bathroom door opened. A wet woman wrapped in a bath towel emerged from the building. The miniature towel emerged from the side. The small towel barely covered the person’s vitals. It was a remarkable sight. This particular woman was Avery Lamour. The expression on Wyatt’s face was extremely glum. His eyes were icy, acerbic, gloomy, and terrifying. Who invited you here? His voice was shockingly icy. Avery was startled and stood still for several seconds. With flushed cheeks, she then grabbed the bath towel that appeared about to fall off. “Mr. Reed... Why are you here?” Wyatt’s eyes were filled with extreme contempt and icy indifference. “Get out—” Avery abruptly covered her chest and screamed before he could finish his sentence. She then hid behind the body of Wyatt. Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.

A group of reporters appeared at the door with their equipment. Constant camera flashes were observed. This moment’s intimate embrace between Wyatt and Avery was an explosive and astounding image. These journalists were like ravenous wolves searching for food. They were actively filming this scene with their cameras. Avery Lamour cowered in fear behind Wyatt, trembling and looking pitiful. The reporters did not anticipate Ivy and Wyatt to have new romantic interests. The following instant, Wyatt pushed Avery away as if she were a piece of trash adhered to his body. His disgusting expression was not at all concealed. Even if Avery was naked in front of the cameras, he did not care. Wyatt approached the reporters with a gloomy and oppressive expression. His tone was intimidating. “I don’t care who invited you. If a word or a photograph about this gets out, you will all be out of work by tomorrow.” Instantaneously, the sound of your inlaying will be removed by tomorrow. The clicking sound of the cameras abruptly ceased in an instant. There was complete silence. There was no sound to be heard. Those reporters regarded Wyatt with trepidation. Wyatt was always mentioned in the financial news. In addition, his name would also appear in tabloids about Ivy. Since these privileges were never revoked, as Wyatt permitted, reporters gradually forgot that Wyatt Reed was invulnerable. The president of Reed Corporation had extensive industry connections and was very influential. Wyatt’s name appearing in the tabloids was extremely rare and borderline sacrilegious back then. Now, these reporters have even rushed to investigate the scandals of Wyatt Reed. The brazenness! The reporters trembled unconsciously as fear infiltrated their pores for a time. Involuntary attention was drawn to the wretched woman on the floor within the room. Avery L. Lamour

She was the one who summoned them, informing them that there was shocking news. Wyatt detected the direction of their gaze and immediately realized what was occurring. She dares to plot against me? His eyes suddenly darkened, and he exuded a thick chill. He had an aura that was indescribably cold and stern. His voice possessed an inexplicable sharpness as well. “Get out of here immediately!” The reporters were startled and scrambled away. They were frightened. Wyatt turned his attention back to Avery, who was pale and trembling on the floor. She had bare shoulders and was trembling slightly. She appeared so gentle, fragile, and innocent. Wyatt wasn’t in the mood to show her appreciation. The only emotions he experienced were disgust, contempt, coldness, and rage. ‘How could she set me up?’ The door was left ajar. Wyatt cared not that Avery could be viewed in this manner. In contrast, Avery was somewhat timid and reticent. She lifted the bath towel slightly while appearing uneasy. “Mr. Reed, please allow me to change first...” Avery was disappointed that her plans did not materialize. She initially intended to use this to expose their relationship and place Wyatt in a precarious position. Thus, she would be able to remain at Wyatt’s side with dignity. Who would have known? The gloomy gaze of Wyatt swept coldly over Avery. “I loathe it, Ms. Lamour, when people plot against me.” Avery’s face turned pale as she denied it unconsciously. “I’m innocent!” Wyatt knew instantly and shifted his gaze without concern. He did not want to take another look at her because doing so would contaminate his vision. “Finding evidence is too simple, and I don’t want to waste time on you.” His voice was irresistible and left no room for error. “You can either get lost and return to where you came from, or I’ll have Gil Lamour join you in

getting lost.” Avery’s face became pitifully pale, and her heart began to sink.
