“Hello? Alli?”

“Dude I was the one who called you and you are looking for my girlfriend?” Andrew said a bit annoyed.

My eyes widen. I can’t believe that Andrew really calls Lieo! Did they reconcile already? That’s great news! I’m happy for both of them.

“I know that it’s your phone number. I just assume that it was Alli who called using your number since it’s impossible for you to call me especially at this hour.” Lieo calmly explained.

“Fine. The reason that I called is that I want to introduce you to someone.” Andrew said then he look at Ava.

Ava on the other hand suddenly became quiet and her face is looking at the car window. She is not moving at all. I’m concerned because she might have a stiff neck.

“Who might that be?” Lieo curiously asked while his forehead creased.

Ava is now holding my hand tightly while she was still facing the car window. I can feel the coldness in her hand. She was nervous and I’m kind of surprised because I have never seen Ava this nervous and shy. She was always confident. She can carry this kind of teasing with other models. This is so unlike her. Maybe she really likes my friend. And I will support her because she’s been a friend of mine for two years and I could attest that she is a great person. Any man will be so lucky to have her.

“Sure. Meet…” Andrew pause then looks at us.

I glared at him, telling him to stop teasing Ava.

Andrew turns the phone to Noah who is now driving.

“Meet Noah a new friend of mine and Alli’s best friend.” He said.

I heard a sigh of relief from Ava. But she was still holding my hand and still looking at the window.

“Is that it? I already know Noah when I went there to visit Alli.” Lieo said in a bored tone.

Andrew chuckled. “Oh, yeah! I forgot. So I assume that you also met Ava? She was also a close friend of Alli.” He said casually.

I also sighed because it doesn’t look like he was teasing Ava to Lieo.

“Ava? I heard her name from Alli but I never met her. Why? Is she there?” He asked.

Ava squeeze my hand. I could see the ghost smile on the side view of her face since I was having a hard time seeing her face. I knew she likes what she heard from Lieo, it somehow shows that he is curious about her.

Ava slowly turns her face to Andrew. I want to laugh seeing how she tried her best to put on a poker face.

“Yes, she’s here. Ava meets one of the members of my band, Lieo. Lieo meet Ava.” He introduces them in a calm voice.

It was Lieo who greeted her first. “Hey, Ava! It’s nice to finally meet you. I heard many good things about you from Alli. Thank you for being a great friend to Alli. I hope to meet you in person.”

Ava bit her lips, doing her best to control her expression. I know deep inside she wanted to scream.

Ava cleared her throat before she greeted him back. “Nice to meet you too. I also heard many good things about you.”

“I might go to the US within the month for a business trip. I hope I can finally meet you in person.” Lieo said after he said his goodbye.

I didn’t know that he has a business trip here. I hope Andrew and I were still here when he arrives.

After two weeks of nonstop meetings, shoots, and interviews, I’m finally done with my work here in the US. My works will cover the whole quarter, we have more time to conceptualize for the next quarter.

As planned, Andrew and I will spend one whole week on a private island owned by Andrew’s family friend.

We invited Noah to come with us but he declined. He assures me that he can handle the pain that he is experiencing now but if the time will come that the pain is unbearable, he promised that he will tell it to me and I also promise that I will go to him, I don’t care if I’m already in the Philippines when that time comes, I will surely go to him to comfort him. And Andrew supported my decision.

“Finally, I’m alone with you,” Andrew whispered.

Andrew and I were dancing to a romantic song. He prepared a romantic dinner for both of us. He set the table right at the pool’s edge. The light and reflections give an extra dimension to the glorious island sunset. Since the pool was located on our private deck, it made us enjoy the tranquility of our residence and of course the alone time together.

I smiled at him then I place my head on his shoulder.

“I can’t wait to spend my whole life with you,” Andrew said sincerely.

I was about to move my head to look at him when he stop me from doing it.

“I’m not yet proposing to you. Don’t worry. I know that you have many things you want to accomplish. But I’m not planning to wait for too long. So finish whatever you want to accomplish so that I can finally propose to you.” He said then he put my hand on his lips.

I turn to face him teary-eyed. I was so touched by what he just said.

“How can you make me fall deeper in love with you every day? I love you, baby!” I said.

He touches my face, touching my cheeks and my lips. “I love you more, baby!”

He leans closer to mine and reaches out for my lips. He started to suck my lip gently passionately. Then slowly he extends his tongue and reaches out on mine. I answered his kiss with the same intensity.

This day is so perfect and romantic. I couldn’t ask for more.

We are not yet married but our three days spent alone here on the island feel like we are having our honeymoon. He always teases me that this is our advanced honeymoon, I will just give him a death glare but deep inside the butterflies in my stomach is already in chaos.

What I love about him is that he never took advantage of me. Yes, we are kissing so passionately, we even get to a point that we are already making out but he knows where to stop. He respects me and promises me that we will not sleep together until we got married.

Whenever we come to a point where we feel so hot because of the intensity of our kiss that sometimes leads to making out, he will be the one who will pause and remind me of his promise. He will then kiss my forehead and hug me for a few minutes.

The next day, we woke up because of the nonstop ringing of our phone. I look at my phone screen and saw my cousin’s name on it.

Lance always succeeds in annoying me. It was only four in the morning. Since we got here on the island, Andrew and I woke up between seven and eight in the morning. Can you imagine how pissed I am right now?

Just like the famous line in our country. You rather messed with drunk people rather than people who just woke up. What more now that it’s not yet our time to get up?!

“Lance do you have any idea of the time here in the US?!” I scolded him.

Andrew also woke up but since Lance was calling my phone, I was the one who answered it. He put his head on my legs and resume sleeping.

“I do my dear cousin. I’m well aware that it’s 4 am now. I would love you to take much sleep as you want, but I really need to wake you up so that you will not be late for our meeting.” He said in the most annoying tone.

“What the hell?! What meeting are you talking about? I’m on vacation!” I hissed.

Lance chuckled. “Sorry to disappoint you my dear cousin but vacation is over. We have a meeting today at seven in the morning with Lush. We are already in our hotel.”

My eyes widen. “What are you talking about? What hotel?”

Andrew woke up because of my loud voice. “Hotel?” He asked a bit disoriented.

“Lance said that we have a meeting with Lush today at 7 am, and they are already in the hotel,” I said then rolled my eyes.

His forehead creased. He asked me to put the phone in speaker mode.

“Where exactly are you guys now?” Lance asked calmly.

“United States of America baby!”
