Found Again

“I know that you are angry and I know it’s valid, but promise me that you will stay calm tomorrow.”

It was Andrew. Since I was having a hard time sleeping, I texted Andrew after I called Alexa. I asked him if he was busy because I want to call him. Good thing his meeting got canceled so I am free to call him.

I told him everything that has happened to Noah, even the proposal. He was a bit pissed with Noah and he wanted to call him but I manage to stop and calm him down.

“I can’t promise that. I still can’t over the fact that Alexa made Noah her mistress. My best friend doesn’t deserve that! She took advantage of the love that Noah has for her! I’m not even sure if I can forgive her!” I honestly said.

“I know, baby. Again, I understand. But I don’t want you to say anything to her when you are at the peak of your emotion. You might say something that you will regret in the future.” Andrew calmly said.

I get Andrew’s point. It’s not right to let your emotion control you. You might do or say something you don’t really mean. Especially with words. Words sometimes are sharper than knives because it engraves on our souls. Words can build someone up or break them down. That is why we must always be careful with our words.

“I know that you get my point. No one is perfect my love. People can make mistakes and even hurt others, just like what Alexa did to Noah. Let them learn from their mistakes. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe through this situation, Noah can finally accept the fact that Alexa is not for her and that he should move on.” Andrew added when I did not answer him.

I nodded at him. “You’re right, baby. God will allow this to happen for a reason. For sure there is a reason for this. I will do my best to control my emotion tomorrow when I talked to her. I will try to be as rational as possible.”

Andrew smiled at the monitor. “That’s my girl.”

I’m glad that I called Andrew last night. My mood lighten a bit. I’m not as pissed as I am yesterday. I was able to work without distraction.

I was engrossed with my work when someone knocked and open my door.

“Lunch?”

It was Noah. He looks scared. I bit my lower lips to stop myself from laughing.

I first check the time on my watch, it was already lunchtime.

I smiled at him and nodded. He smiled back and was relaxed now.

“Are you still mad at me?” Noah asked when we were almost done eating.

I put down the knife and fork that I was holding to give my full attention to him. “I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed. Again, and again, and again, you don’t deserve to be a side chic or a side man, whatever you call it. You are the Noah Elordi! You are near perfection! You have a great physique, you’re a very good-looking guy, one of the kindest guys I met, smart, talented, you name it! And you, being an on-the-side guy, I will never accept that!”

Noah held my hand and squeezed it. He looks so pleased with my statement. “Thank you Alli for looking at me that way.”

“Please know your worth Noah. You don’t deserve her, especially with the way she treated you!” I said with full conviction.

He slowly nodded. “I know that now.”

“Just so you know, I will be meeting Alexa later. Don’t you dare try to stop me from meeting her?! I will be leaving for Manila in a few days. I need to make sure that she will stop messing with your life before I go.” I said in a warning tone.

He shook his head. “You’re the boss, Alli. Just be gentle with her. You know that she is not that strong when it comes to confrontation.” Noah requested.

I nodded in agreement. “Don’t worry, Andrew already calmed me. I am more rational now than yesterday.”

“I guess, I will be thanking your boyfriend then.” He said.

I chuckled. “Don’t even try to call him. He is pissed with your proposal yesterday.”

Noah laughed. “I should call him then! I miss provoking him!”

I just shook my head.

I saw Alexa sitting nervously when I entered the VIP room that we reserved. We both agreed to go to a different restaurant. A restaurant that is not related to Thomas and Noah or the Elordi’s family.

I suggested that we should eat first because I’m sure that after our talk none of us would want to eat.

“Noah told me everything,” I said when we are done with our food.

Alexa’s hand was a bit shaking. She looks scared now. She should be.

“I want to why you did that to Noah?! You already took her love for you for granted and now this?!” I said a bit pissed.

I felt angry again but I am trying my best to control the words that were coming out of my mouth.

“I’m sorry, Alli.” The only thing she said.

I raised my brow. “Why are you apologizing to me? I’m not the one you wronged.” I said a bit cold.

“I know, Alli. But I can’t face him now. I know that I hurt him too much.” She said almost in a whisper.

“You are doing good, Alexa,” I said.

She looks at me with confusion.

“Don’t face him now, don’t face him ever. And don’t you dare give him an invitation to your wedding, don’t you ever approach him, don’t ever let him see your face again! Just disappear from his life.” I said in the coldest voice.

“Alli…”

My emotion is eating me now. I stop speaking. My tears began to fall. I wanted to slap her, I wanted to curse her, but I know that I will regret it when all this ended.

“I treated you as a friend, Alexa. You know I care and love you. But I care and love Noah more than anyone else.” I said while my tears keeps on falling.

This is hard. Both of them are my friends, but Noah is so special to me. I will always be protective of him.

“Noah proposed to me last night.” I shared it with her.

Alexa’s eyes widen. She didn’t expect that.

“Noah is that desperate to forget you. He knew that if I will marry him, he will never let anyone hurt me, not even you. So no matter how you try to win him back, you will never to me. I am that special to him.” I told her.

She nodded. I guess everyone close to us here in the US knew the special bond that I have with Noah.

“But you have a boyfriend, right?! The guy that you introduce to me and Thomas.” She said.

I nodded. “Yes, and we are still together. But if you will keep leading Noah on, I will sacrifice my current relationship just to stop you from hurting him.”

“If you really see me as a friend, you will let go of Noah and let him move on from you,” I said.

“I didn’t know that I was already feeling something for Noah. I also didn’t want this to happen.” Alexa tried to defend herself.

“What kind of feelings do you have for him? Enough to hurt him more.”

“I thought that I will never see Noah as more than friends, but I got jealous when I saw him with that girl, Eula.” She confessed.

“Noah’s parents seem to like her for him, and for some reason, I can’t accept that. Just thinking of the possibility that Noah will love someone other than me, hurts me.”

“What about Thomas?” I butted in.

“I love Thomas. I knew I loved him. But I was getting confused now because of what I am feeling towards Noah.”

My forehead creased. “So you will rather hurt my friend than Thomas, is that it?!” My voice raised a bit because of irritation.

“It’s not that.”

“Then what?!” I almost shouted.

She shakes her head. “I don’t know. I honestly don’t know. I’m so confused right now, Alli.”

I look at her coldly. “I don’t care if you’ll marry Thomas or what. Just don’t ever approach Noah again, or I will tell Thomas and all their family members about what you did with Noah and Thomas.”
